#SaudiArabia is inviting local and international investors to participate in a competitive bid for #seven #new #mining exploration licenses. These licenses, announced by the #Ministry of #Industry and #Mineral #Resources on August 7th, cover an expansive area of approximately 1,000 sq. km. This initiative aims to accelerate the exploration and development of the nation's rich mineral resources, estimated to be worth SR9.3 trillion. ▪️The exploration sites are spread across various regions, primarily #Riyadh and #Asir, and are known to contain valuable minerals such as gold, #silver, #copper, #zinc, #lead, and #cobalt. Each site varies in size and mineral composition, with Wadi Al-Jouna in Asir being the largest at 425 sq. km. The ministry has provided detailed geological and technical data on a dedicated platform to assist potential investors in their evaluations. ▪️This competition is part of the Exploration Enablement Program, aligning with #Saudi #Vision2030's goal to establish mining as a key pillar of the national industry. The ministry has implemented attractive incentives, including financial support, 100% foreign ownership, and significant financing options through the Saudi Industrial Development Fund. Interested investors must submit their technical bids by early #September, with #winners to be announced by the end of the month. The evaluation process will prioritize technical expertise, community #contributions, and #innovation.

Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited has published a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Karator prospect, 2km from its most advanced asset, the 1.01Moz resource Tulkubash gold project in Kyrgyzstan. Karator contains 207,000oz at 0.96 g/t gold not including 5-10Mt of oxide gold material at 0.8-0.9 g/t, subject to further exploration, resource definition and upgrade. Chaarat will use production from Karator and other satellite deposits to extend the Tulkubash Life of Mine from the current six years towards the eventual target of 10-15 years. Next steps at Karator will include further systematic step-out and infill drilling, aiming to advance and extend the maiden resource. When we look at opportunities to grow the economy, we can perhaps analyze the job creation for Papua New Guineans as well and ensure these jobs are kept in-country and held by nationals. If not, we are losing out on the opportunity to employ our own when we allow jobs to be out-sourced despite the source of revenue being from PNG, our home soil. We are missing out on the income (SWT) tax that should be collected if these jobs/services were held in-country, by our very own nationals.

Barrick has continued to focus on extending the life of its Kibali gold mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) with world class exploration and resource conversion programs. Recent high-grade discoveries at Barrick Gold’s Kibali mine in the DRC demonstrates the potential for further brownfields exploration and extending the life of mine to more than 15 years. Furthermore, the potential for significant discoveries along what Barrick refers to as the KZ trend, which is within trucking distance of the current Kibali plant, is extremely high. According to Barrick’s most recent presentation, the KZ trend stretches north, north-west of current operations for more than 50km. Furthermore, about 90% of the KZ structure outside the KCD area where current operations are located, remain untested below 150m vertical depth. The exploration maturity at Kibali is low compared to other global gold districts like Yilgarn in Western Australia and the Superior Province in Canada.   According to Barrick President and CEO Mark Bristow, Kibali continues to deliver growth as its strong record of replenishing reserves and resources through exploration, and further investment in technology and capacity, position it to sustain its 750,000 ounces annual production past the current 10-year horizon to 15 years and beyond. We're pleased to report on our activities for the March 2024 Quarter. We successfully completed the acquisition of 100% of Côte d'Ivoire gold and lithium explorer CDI Resources Limited. This acquisition gives us complete control over seven projects covering 2,769 km² of granted mineral permits and permit applications, including the promising Tengrela South and Adzope gold projects. At Tengrela South, we completed 2,784 meters of aircore drilling targeting the southern extensions of gold mineralisation at the Podio and Logbog prospects and exploring a new gold anomaly. Drilling uncovered a new structure returning 4m at 5.22g/t gold, marking one of the top 20 gold intersections from over 63,000 meters of drilling at the site. Additionally, lithium minerals were identified in a pegmatite section near Logbog. Further exploration is set to continue with follow-up drilling at Tengrela South planned for the next quarter. A reconnaissance visit to the Adzope project has also identified immediate drilling targets, with soil sampling and RC drilling expected to begin following the anticipated permit grant. On the corporate front, we raised $3.75 million in conjunction with the CDI acquisition to support ongoing exploration efforts in Côte d'Ivoire and our existing projects in Western Australia. We also welcomed experienced geologist Stephen Ross as our new Managing Director. Royal Road Minerals' Saudi Arabian joint venture, Royal Roads Arabia (RRA), has been granted preferred bidder status for the Jabal Sahabiyah exploration license in Asir province. The joint venture, formed with Saudi investment holding company MSB for copper and gold exploration, is set to operate under a 50/50 basis. The license covers around 284 km² and was discovered in the late 1970s. The company plans to deploy advanced exploration techniques, including drone-borne hyper-spectral scanners and expects to spend at least $5.5 million over the initial five years. The license, subject to certain conditions, has an initial term of five years, renewable for a total of 15 years.
