📢 Empowering LGBTQIA+ Voices Against Hate 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Did you know that only 1 in 8 hate crimes against LGBTQ+ individuals in the UK are reported? It's time to change that, and the Zoteria app is here to help. I'm proud (yup, that is me and my dear friend Ajay Pabial 🏳️🌈 on set back in March) to support Stonewall UK's latest initiative, Zoteria. This discreet and powerful app is making a real difference in combating hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ Why Zoteria matters: • 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Zoteria prioritizes user privacy, making it a safe space to report incidents without fear of being outed. • 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Each report contributes to valuable data that helps advocate for policy changes and better support services. • 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Zoteria empowers individuals to take action and be part of the solution in combating hate crimes. In a world where hate crimes against LGBTQ+ individuals are still far too common, Zoteria is a crucial step towards a safer and more inclusive society. 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲. 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗭𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 and let your voice be heard. App links 📲 in the comments. #Zoteria #Stonewall #LGBTQIA
Happy Pub Pride! The night where venues celebrate their local LGBTQ+ community, and welcome Pride month in their hometown 🌈 Our Zoteria app will feature in pubs across the UK from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June. Pub Pride was started 4 years ago by @AskforClive, a charity that partners with venues to promote inclusion and to create welcoming environments for the LGBTQ+ community. We are so excited to partner with Ask for Clive this year to help ensure that everybody has a great night out 📱📱 Look out for Zoteria in your local pub, or find a Pub Pride event to attend in the app https://bit.ly/3HW9JTg

Helping business owners bring their brand to life | Marketing + Brand Strategy Specialist | Founder of KENNEDY Studio | Co-Chair of the Board for Euphoria Social
It's World Pride Month....and sorry adding a rainbow to your product is not Allyship - it's marketing. While it's wonderful to see rainbows everywhere, it's important to remember that true allyship goes beyond adding a rainbow to your product or website. Allyship means: ❤️ Listening and Learning: Taking the time to understand the experiences and challenges of the LGBTQ+ community. 💜 Supporting and Empowering: Amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, supporting LGBTQ+ businesses, and advocating for equal rights. 💙 Creating Inclusive Environments: Ensuring your workplace and products are genuinely inclusive and safe for everyone, not just during Pride Month but all year round. 💛 Taking Action: Donating to LGBTQ+ causes, participating in events, and pushing for policies that support the community. Adding a rainbow to your product can be a symbol of support, but without meaningful action, it risks being seen as just another marketing tactic. Let's make this World Pride Month not just about visible support, but about real, impactful allyship. Together, we can make a difference. #worlpridemonth #LGBTQplusallyship #inclusiveworkplace #realsupport

What is “Rainbow Washing?” Rainbow washing, defined as using rainbow colors to show support for LGBTQ equality without meaningful advocacy, is a sneaky marketing tactic. Companies often splash rainbows and LGBTQ imagery in June but forget about it later. This practice, termed "optical allyship," is wrong and unethical, especially when companies harm the LGBTQ community. How to Avoid Rainbow Washing Your Brand: 1. Stay consistent in advocacy. 2. Elevate LGBTQ+ voices. 3. Embrace workplace diversity. 4. Donate to LGBTQ+ advocacy groups. 5. Speak out against injustice. Move forward by being a genuine ally year-round, not just during Pride month. Let's strive for authentic support and allyship beyond the rainbow-colored marketing gimmicks. #HappyPride!

No Credit Union Left Behind | Passionate Advocate for Financial Empowerment | Data and Research Geek | CU Lover for Life | Purpose Chaser | Changemaker
Be an ally. Be Kind. We ALL have one thing in common, we are all human beings first. Yet, so many different people continue to experience discrimination for a multitude of reasons. Financial wellness in the LBGTQ+ community face unique challenges and setbacks-- we all deserve to have access to financial products and services in an equitable environment. The 2024 LGBTQ+ Financial Wellness Report's key findings are a rude awakening that there is much work to be done for better financial inclusion. *Roughly half (48.15) of LGBTQ+ adults say they are financially unwell, compared to one-quarter (25.7%) of the general public. Both BIPOC and younger (age 18-24) LGBTQ+ adults are even more likely to say they are financially unwell. *Three in ten (30.8%) LGBTQ+ adults say they have experienced discrimination while accessing financial services *Roughly half (48.15) of LGBTQ+ adults say they are financially unwell, compared to one-quarter (25.7%) of the general public. *Nearly 60% (59.7%) of LGTBQ+ adults have annual household incomes below $75,000. "The data underscore the need for our economic empowerment programs, especially for younger BIPOC LGBTQ+ folks. I hope the data are a call to action for organizations serving our community. Given what we know about who is struggling the most, these organizations have an opportunity to center BIPOC young adults by being culturally responsive, trauma informed, and offering voice and choice to young people.” Maruka Rivers, Director of Economic Empowerment Programs at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation How is your credit union being an ally? If not, reach out and get involved.
It has begun! June is here which means credit unions are ready to showcase the support of the LGBTQ+ professionals, members, and communities they serve all year round during CU Pride Month! Join us for six virtual events all aimed at creating inclusive cultures of belonging, allyship, and Redefining DEI for sustainability into the future. 🌈 Pride Month: More Than Just a Rainbow Logo 🌈 As we celebrate Pride Month, it's heartening to see companies show their support with vibrant rainbow logos. But the LGBTQ+ community needs more than just symbols of solidarity—we need tangible actions and investments that truly make a difference. Visibility is important, but real support goes beyond a colorful logo. It involves: Investing in LGBTQ+ communities: Supporting initiatives that provide education, healthcare, housing, and employment opportunities. Implementing equal access company policies: Ensuring all families, faiths, and gender identities are respected and supported within the workplace. This includes comprehensive non-discrimination policies, inclusive benefits, and safe spaces for everyone. Ensuring corporate donations align with values: Avoiding contributions to special interests and politicians who oppose LGBTQ+ rights. Let’s advocate for meaningful change and hold our companies accountable. It's time for corporate allies to step up and make a real impact. Together, we can create a world where everyone is celebrated and supported every day of the year. Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈#PrideMonth #LGBTQSupport #CorporateResponsibility #InvestInCommunities
