🎬Happy Cinema Friday! 🎥 In "All Is Lost," directed by J.C. Chandor and starring Robert Redford, the protagonist's gripping tale of survival against the odds unfolds. Redford plays a nameless sailor battling the elements alone at sea after his yacht is damaged. The film is a masterclass in minimalist storytelling, with sparse dialogue and a singular focus on the protagonist's struggle for survival. As the sailor faces numerous challenges, including a damaged boat, dwindling resources, and unpredictable weather, parallels can be drawn to organizational struggles. Just as businesses encounter unexpected setbacks and external threats, the sailor must adapt his strategy to survive. His decisions, resource allocation, and problem-solving reflect strategic thinking under extreme pressure, highlighting the importance of resilience, adaptability, and strategic planning in overcoming adversity. #SurvivalStory #RobertRedford #AllIsLostFilm #MinimalistStorytelling #SurvivalStrategy #OrganizationalResilience #Adaptability #StrategicThinking

🇬🇧👏🇬🇧 Anyone fancy a trip to the UK? VisitBritain’s latest campaign makes me want to book a trip! (Great cinematography, and really well worth a watch, makes me proud to be a Brit). Did you know that film, TV, video, radio and photography production generated over £20bn to the UK in 2022? The entire UK Creative Industries sector added a whopping £124bn to the economy that same year (according to the latest UK government statistics), making it a hugly important sector. This is why the Creative Industries is one of eight key sectors in the new Industrial Strategy to be launched in 2025. Can I highjack this post...? Yeah... I'm gonna highjack this post... A very clever and creative film showcasing the wonders of Great Britain. Aaaaand you know who has several tours built around filming? That's right Evan Evans Tours! Screen Tourism isn't new, but it's importance is on the rise. We're certainly seeing that first-hand, and have grown our portfolio of film-based tours, across our coach, rail and walking tours to cater for the demand. Did you know, 15% of people consider screen tourism as the main reason to visit the UK? And a staggering 70% of visitors actually go on to visit a TV/Film location when in the UK! Whether its learning how to shake a wand at WB Studio, or playing naked tennis in the Cotswolds with your Rival(s), screen tourism shouldn't be sniffed at. #screentourism #visitbritain #strategy #UKinboundtourism #awesome

Indian buyers networked with local suppliers hosted by Destination North East England to build relationships get more of the region on visitor itineraries. They continued in Northumberland visiting filming locations at Hadrian's Wall (Robin Hood), Alnwick Castle (Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Dungeons & Dragons) and Bamburgh Castle (BFG, Last Kingdom, Indiana Jones). Our research shows over 9/10 of people surveyed in India would be interested in visiting a film/TV location when visiting the UK. #StarringGREATBritain
