I recently spent some time with Sanjay Gangal talking all things RISC-V and specifically new security options with #CHERI. CHERI provides a hardware-level solution to many of the typical security vulnerabilities in electronic systems making it much harder to hack software platforms. We are excited to be deploying this technology into leading products. Check out our discussion for more. #riscv Codasip #CustomCompute

Check out our second episode of WGCU’s SWFL IN FOCUS local news show! Link below
So excited that we secured the funding and hired the talent to launch Southwest Florida In Focus. This pilot project is the precursor to a nightly TV newscast which we believe PBS TV stations all across the nation need to embark upon. A program interviewing local thought leaders for a thoughtful audience and imspriring moments, We steer clear of the surplus of coverage focused on traffic, crime, nonemergency weather, and gotcha moments of commercial TV. Here is a link to watch our second episode. I welcome our colleagues feedback.

TCA Radio with Clint Hackney ~ The Building of The Transcontinental Railroad. Why the construction industry is so important. Consider these stats: Before the transcontinental railroad in America, travel from the East Coast to the West Coast by stagecoach cost $1,000 and took six months. The alternatives were to travel by sea around the tip of South America or to cross the Isthmus of Panama, then travel north by ship to California. After completion of the transcontinental railroad, the trip took five days and cost $150 for a first-class sleeper. Who built it? The Pacific Railroad Act of 1862 stipulated that the Central Pacific Railroad Company would start building in Sacramento, California, and continue east across the Sierra Nevada, while the Union Pacific Railroad would build westward from the Missouri River, near the border of Nebraska and Iowa. The two lines of track would meet in the middle (the legislation did not designate an exact location) and each company would receive 6,400 acres of land (later doubled to 12,800) and $48,000 in government bonds for every mile of track built. Thus and so from the beginning, the building of the transcontinental railroad was set up in terms of a competition between the two railroad companies. And the rest is history ..

Sometimes we all need a different perspective in order to help us achieve a goal. And – as Graham Fraine pointed out, there is a synergy to be gained by seeking out the views of those different from your own. After all – the value you gain working with those from disciplines to unpack problems can only be good! We invite you to watch this short clip here on LinkedIn to find out more, and, to watch Graham Fraine's full Stewards on the Couch recording on our YouTube channel now. https://lnkd.in/g5FN2Xij #ipaainsights #ipaaqld2024 #keepinformed #challengeyourthinking #buildconnections
