5 proven things to consider when it comes to promoting and developing women in leadership:

I want to see a panel of mothers and fathers and parents at World Economic Forum speaking on how they are using the seat of leadership and power at home. How they are shaping future policies and societies by how they model roles, respect and rewards at home. If you are not dignifying and rewarding the power roles outside the boardrooms that are mostly held down by women then we suggest to women that the only way to succeed is to chase a singular vision of success and leadership. We need women CHOOSING Roles that they want to do Roles that match her potential We need her choices RESPECTED and REWARDED. We need to expand the definition and models of success and power. We need to highlight the equally powerful seats women have been occupying and advocate for those roles to be REWARDED at par not only with wishes and prayers. We need to recognise more seats of power especially that occupied traditionally by the woman in the society. We need equal reward and hype for women and hype the women making choices to pursue their career goals or The woman pivoting to invest in the next generation of leaders at home. Or The woman who is the breadwinner of the family and the partner who intentionally supports that. And this is the work of the media, society and nations not corporates. Recognise the role of the caregivers who ensure that the children of a nation can make positive contribution to nation's economy and build a more inclusive society. Else an equal world will remain an idea 100 Davos Women
