💫UN Women: Generation Equality Reception at CSW69 Deputy Executive Director, UN Women Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda ; and Diene Keita Deputy Executive Director for Programmes, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) were amongst senior leaders at the Generation Equality Networking Session hosted by UN Women which brought together partners, advocates, changemakers and senior leaders to celebrate achievements, address ongoing challenges, and reaffirm commitments to advancing gender equality. In her opening remarks, Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda underscored that the next frontier is the full freedom of women – an essential step toward substantive equality. She emphasized that diversity is the essence of humanity, and true equality is a fundamental principle not an ideology. •Addressing systemic barriers, she highlighted the need for actions to close persistent gaps, as critical social needs remain underfunded. •To move forward, the DED called for reshaping the global conversation and redesigning systems to ensure a future where gender equality is not just an aspiration but a reality. The urgency to act remains. •Now more than ever, collective action and accountability are essential to driving lasting change. Together, we can build a more just and equal future for all. •In just five years, Generation Equality has made a significant impact across more than 80 countries, driving nearly 2,000 policies, 4,500 programs, and 5,700 advocacy initiatives to accelerate the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. •The Generation Equality Networking Reception also provided a space for leaders and changemakers to: ✅Strengthen collaboration across sectors through multistakeholder partnerships. ✅Identify key priorities for advancing the rights and equality of women and girls. ✅Raise awareness of the 2025 priorities for each Action Coalition and the Compact. Also present were the Thematic Leads for the Action Commitments. A special thank you to Jeevika S, Thematic Lead for Feminist Movements and Leadership of the Generation Equality, which we have signed up to. As we move forward, the urgency to act remains. Let’s continue to work together, drive accountability, and push for transformative change! #CSW69 #InclusiveLeadership #GenerationEquality

🌍 UN CSW69 | GWI Delegates Briefing Session: Advocacy in Action As part of the Graduate Women International (GWI) delegation, 100 Women @ Davos attended the GWI Breakfast Briefing, where President Patrice Wellesley-Cole welcomed delegations with a powerful call to accelerate progress toward gender equality. The session featured representations from GWI UN Representatives, Dr. Maureen Byrne, Maryella Hannum, MSc , and wCat Sutherland along with impactful presentations on CSW69 advocacy priorities. 💡 GWI has long been a global force in advocating for women’s rights, equality, and empowerment—championing access to quality secondary and tertiary education as a catalyst for change. This discussion set the stage for CSW69 | Beijing +30, reinforcing the urgency of action three decades after the Beijing Declaration and pushing back against the global rollback of women’s rights. At 100 Women @ Davos, we are committed to driving advocacy efforts at the global level, ensuring that women’s voices shape policy and progress worldwide. The time for action is now. #CSW69

Leadership isn’t just about climbing the ladder. it’s about reaching back to pull others up. Research shows that women who belong to leadership and mentorship networks are more likely to advance in their careers, gain access to new opportunities, and build the influence needed to drive real change. 📑A Harvard Business Review study found that women with a close-knit circle of mentors and sponsors are 2.5 times more likely to secure leadership positions. 📊 McKinsey & Company also highlights that mentorship and visibility within leadership networks significantly impact career progression. If you’re a woman aspiring to lead, seek out mentors. If you’re already in leadership, become one. The future of women’s leadership depends on the strength of our networks. Tag a mentor who has shaped your journey! ⬇️ ____________________________ To join or learn more about our community, kindly fill out our interest form >>>> https://lnkd.in/dypbQfDi #100WomenDavos #WomenInLeadership #MentorshipMatters
