🎉 Exciting Announcement! 🎉 On Wednesday, June 12th, we at Life Ed Qld will be hosting our first-ever Giving Day: Hand Up, Stand Up for Qld Kids! For 24 hours, every donation will be MATCHED thanks to our generous partners. This is a unique opportunity to double your impact and help us reach even more children across Queensland. Why is this so crucial? Every year, the Department of Child Safety receives over 30,000 notifications of child abuse and neglect. Many children are unsafe in their own homes, and the true scale of this issue is even larger. Our Safe Kids, Safe Bodies program empowers children with the knowledge to protect themselves and recognise abuse. On Giving Day, every $30 raised will fund this essential program for one child in a disadvantaged community. Here's how you can make a difference: 1. SAVE the date: Wednesday, June 12th. Remember, your donation will be matched for 24 hours only. 2. WATCH this video: Understand why your support is critical on this day. 3. SHARE this post: Please help us spread the word to others who are passionate about protecting children. Let's come together to ensure every child feels safe and supported. Your participation can transform lives, offering hope and a brighter furture to those who need it most!! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/guqah2Re Join us in making a real difference for Qld kids!

Imagine a world where every child feels safe and loved. This isn't just a dream, it's the mission of the Beau Biden Foundation. But we can't do it alone. Here's how YOU can make a difference: • For the children you love, and for those you haven't met yet: Donate to the Foundation. Every amount, no matter how big or small, helps bring critical programs to children and their caregivers, preventing abuse and exploitation before it starts. • Stop abuse before it starts with education: Your gift helps train law enforcement, teachers, parents, and anyone who touches a child's life to recognize the signs of abuse and stop predators in their tracks. • Be the hero a child needs: Your donation directly protects children and teens from exploitation and abuse. It's a gift that makes a lasting impact. Together, we can build a future where every child thrives. Donate today: https://lnkd.in/eYA8XqcF #makeadifference #protectourchildren

Yesterday, we shared some of the impressive outcomes your donations have had on the lives of 1,374 children. But let’s not lose sight of the faces behind the numbers. Today, we want to zoom in on one child’s story. Your generosity secured hope for Maya*: Seven-year-old Maya faced hardships no child should have to endure at that age. Her father’s death left her mother to navigate survival for the young family on her own. A pivotal moment came when a job opportunity opened up in our school. Maya’s mother was hired for the position, which gave Maya access to the programs we offer to children of vulnerable women. With your invaluable support, Maya’s family is finding strength through our education and economic development programs. Thanks to your support, both Maya and her mother have hope for a brighter future. To help children and women like these two, donate here: https://lnkd.in/gYPVyfzK *Our commitment is to keep children safe online, and because this child is under the age of 18, her name was changed to protect her identity. #LUV #EndHumanTrafficking #LiftUpTheVulnerable #StopHumanTrafficking #LUVTransforms #EmpoweringLives #Impact #HumanTrafficking #Hope #Transformation #EndOppression #InvestInHope #Protection #StoriesOfImpact

Stress reduction, restraint and seclusion I am delighted to partner the Alliance agaisnt Seclusion and Restraint for this web conference. It is an opportunity to understand in an empathic manner the approach to stress management and stress reduction. I will be be speaking about how we can reduce and eliminate restraint by creating arousal regulation and co regulation which is the cornerstone of the low arousal approach.Critical to this is the double empathy approach where we change our behaviour in the first instance. All of the key contributors will focus on reducing unpredictability and chaos for the people we support. #mentalhealth #restraint #seclusion #lowarousal #wellbeing #trauma #schools #autism #adhd
We are delighted to be partnering with the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint for this event, an organisation whose work in the US campaigning against restrictive practices is inspirational and impactful.
