Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . Let’s young leaders control future of our planet. NATO and Organization are responsible to bring peace not to manufacturing war guns and tools . We are all in one ship . Please don’t make hole our ship . I believe that all conflicts come from our old decision makers, we normal human have no conflict at all . We want to live in peace .,

Implementing regenerative agriculture improves soil health, enhances biodiversity, contributes to healthier waterways, stores carbon, and leads to food production resilience. How can evidence inform policy making in complex systems? Under USAID's Measuring Impact II, a team of technical experts including EI’s Katie (Katherine) Safford and Lexine H. explored the drivers and interconnections of agriculture-driven land conversion in biodiverse focal areas using a participatory system mapping approach. The article, recently published in Agriculture Systems, adds critical insights to the evidence base and highlights the importance of: 1) strengthening land tenure systems to protect against land grabbing, 2) providing technical support to farmers on conservation agriculture, 3) improving market access to improve the profitability of agriculture, and 4) prioritizing smallholder livelihoods to reduce the economic pressures that drive land conversion. Today in Mercy Corps AgriFin & Farm to Market Alliance Farmer Impact Stories we showcase Hannah Karanja, a farmer from Busia county who is using Climate Smart Agricultural Practices to Improve her Crop Yield. In a bid to keep her farm sustainable and profitable, Hannah began farming using Conservation Agriculture (CA) aimed at building healthy soil that is more resistant to drought, heat and other climate impacts. The adoption of Sustainable Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices, especially Conservation Agriculture (CA) and the abandonment of traditional farming tools, significantly amplified Hannah's yield. From a mere 9 bags per acre, her harvest now reaches between 18-24 bags, effectively doubling her agricultural output. Hannah's primary Conservation Agriculture (CA) practice is minimum tillage, crop residue retention (Mulching) and crop rotation, interchanging maize and beans. Thes practices have directly resulted in the doubling of her harvest and income. The surplus income has been instrumental in providing education to her children and grandchildren, securing their futures. 🌱👨🌾 Let's meet David and his mother Nicole, dairy #farmers in the East of France. With the support of partners from the program 𝘓𝘦𝘴 2 𝘗𝘪𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘳 𝘛𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘦, they have implemented new practices linked to #regenerative agriculture. On their farm, David & Nicole decided to focus on the well-being of their cows and the preservation of #soil life by: 🐄 Installing fans and mattresses in the dairy cow building 🌳 Planting trees and hedges 🪱 Reducing soil tillage and enriching the soil with organic matter 👉 All these actions contribute to improving animal comfort, increasing #milk production, and reducing #greenhouse gas emissions. This multi-faceted approach is important in securing the environmental and economic resilience of farms to ensure the renewal of generations. 🙏 This program has flourished through collaborative efforts and collective approach involving farmers and program partners: Danone, Institut de l'Elevage (idele), MiiMOSA and Les Prés Rient Bio.
