"Alex, you changed the way I do networking." I started hosting my own networking events after seeing there was need for something different. Many networking events I attend are not networking events at all. They're sales pitches. OR After you attend just 1 or 2 events, they try to sell you into a paid membership. If you don't pay, no more networking. Personally, I do not like either of these models. The issue is... 1. They waste the time of attendees, or 2. The membership fee limits and prohibits the number of people who can attended the event, causing attendance and new connections to dwindle over time. I envisioned something better. A new way forward. Something that was efficient, effective, and accessible. A networking event that put the people who choose to attend - 1st. I started my own Speed Networking event in Sept of this year. I have been hosting it every Monday at 12pm Pacific ever since. On average over 70 people attend live. In 30mins you can expect to meet 20 - 30 NEW people every time you go. It's a great way to start your week with many new connections. I, of course, invite you to attend to see what all of the buzz and excitement is about. According to the Harvard Business Review, networking events are not the most effective way to grow your business. Instead, host your own get-togethers, double date, and reconnect with dormant ties to expand your network and increase the value you contribute to it. If you’re looking to grow your business, it’s important to focus on building meaningful relationships with people who share your interests and values, rather than attending traditional networking events. By hosting your own get-togethers, double dating, and reconnecting with dormant ties, you can expand your network and increase the value you contribute to it. So, why not try something new and see how it works for you? 😊

Ever wonder how often you should be attending networking events? 🤔 Networking is key to business growth—it's where ideas are shared and partnerships are formed. Just two reasons why attending events like business breakfasts, and lectures are crucial. I regularly expand my network because it broadens my perspective and provides opportunities to engage with fascinating individuals. Here's a snap from a recent business lunch where I met some invaluable contacts, already starting fruitful collaborations. 🌟 And here are five quick tips for making the most out of networking events: 📍 Be Prepared: Have a clear idea of what you're looking to gain from the event—knowledge, contacts, or opportunities. 🖇 Elevator Pitch: Be ready to succinctly describe who you are and what you do in a way that captures interest. 📍 Listen More: Engage genuinely. Sometimes, listening can reveal more opportunities than speaking. 🖇 Follow Up: Make it a point to reach out to the contacts you've made, keeping the connection alive. 📍 Be Yourself: Authenticity goes a long way. Be genuine in your interactions, and you'll form more meaningful connections. Networking isn’t just about collecting contacts; it's about planting seeds for future collaborations! #Networking #BusinessGrowth #Connections

4moGreat overview! I think the most frustrating part is having to wait for networking to pay off...it can be discouraging not to see progress in something you're putting effort into.
