Take Control of Your Sales Meetings with This Simple Tip We've all been there — you walk into a sales meeting with a clear plan: introduce yourself, map out the agenda, ask the right questions, and guide the conversation to a productive next step. But then... the client jumps in with "Just tell us about your company and how you can help." 😅 Suddenly, you're selling without understanding their needs. It’s chaotic, disjointed, and frankly, not a great experience for either party. Here’s a better approach: when faced with this, instead of jumping straight into selling, respond with: “I’d love to share how we can help, but to ensure it’s tailored to your needs, let me ask a few questions first. That way, we can ensure the conversation is focused and on time.” By taking control at the start, you keep the meeting on track, simple, and compelling — avoiding a situation that feels like a Christopher Nolan movie 🎬 where different timelines leave everyone confused. Remember, a great meeting isn’t just about having a plan — it’s about being ready to steer it back on course when it veers off. How to run great sales meetings: I used to dread our weekly sales meetings. You know the type - endless updates, people zoning out, checking Slack under the table. Then one Friday, half my team didn't show up. Message received, loud and clear. So I ripped up the old playbook and tried something different. Here's how: Start with motivation (3 mins): Quick wins from last week. No BS, just pure celebration. Numbers that matter (10 mins): Pipeline and deals. No death by PowerPoint - just "here's where we are, here's where we need to be." Challenges and opportunities (15 mins): "What's blocking your wins?" No sugar coating. If something's broken, let's fix it. Game plan (15 mins): Turn problems into action items. Who's doing what by when. Level up / training (10 mins): One skill, one lesson, one improvement. Keep it practical. Quick wrap (5 mins): "Here's what we're doing differently next week." The secret sauce? At the end, everyone rates the meeting 1-10. Under 8? Tell me why. We keep getting better. Since we started this format, attendance was 100%. Turns out people show up when stuff actually gets done. One last thing: Keep it weekly. More often = distraction. Less often = loss of momentum. What's your meeting hack? Drop it below.

💎 Set the tone with the right agenda 💎 When I started out in sales, my meetings would drift off into places I didn’t even know existed 😂 I would never see my prospect again 👋 Once I received proper sales training, agenda setting became one of the most powerful, easy-to-learn, and high-impact tools that transformed my deals fundamentally. By agreeing to an agenda, your prospect will feel relaxed, knowing everything that’s coming and that their topics are covered. If you still drift off, you can always realign the conversation to the agenda. So instead of: ❌ loosing control ❌ being scared and nervous ❌ struggeling to set next steps ❌ not getting to where you want to be ❌ being forced to discuss things you’re unprepared for try ✅ setting an agenda at the beginning of EVERY meeting ✅ clearly communicating what will be covered ✅ asking if there is anything else they want to include ✅ incorporating their input and agreeing on a mutual agenda Pro tip: By asking your prospect if there is anything else they’d like to cover, you gain a great understanding of their priorities 😉. Remeber, you are the expert - Lead accordingly. Prosepct 🤝 RufuSells #SalesTips #AgendaSetting #SalesStrategy #MeetingSuccess #ClientEngagement #ProductivityHacks #SalesProcess #B2BSales #SalesGrowth

How to create an Effective Sales Meeting Agenda 📝 When I was working in big sales companies, Sales team meetings were often seen as a drag. Most of my team (except the Managers) thought they were a waste of time. But when well-structured, they become invaluable. At Magnus & Wolf we have started using the WEWIN framework. This powerful tool can transform mundane meetings into motivating ones. 🔸 Wins and Recognition (10 mins) Whose done well - celebrate this! 🔸 Evaluate Progress (20 mins) Review goals and metrics. Check your sales pipelines. 🔸 What's New (10 mins) Keep your team updated. Share new product info, competitor insights, pricing changes, and strategy shifts. 🔸 Issues and Ideas (15 mins) Address what's hindering progress and how to overcome it. 🔸 Needs Action (5 mins) Sum up the meeting and assign actions. 💡 The Hidden Trap of “Mutual Mystification” in Sales Ever walked out of a sales meeting thinking, "What just happened?" You prepared everything perfectly, but somehow, the conversation didn’t go as planned. That’s mutual mystification—when you and the prospect aren’t aligned, leaving both sides confused and off-track. Here’s the scenario: You’re ready for your pitch, but the prospect derails the agenda with small talk. When you control the conversation, you avoid surprises and make meaningful progress—even if the goal is just scheduling a next step.
