Recommendation for CP top up training: I recently did my close protection top up training with HZL and they were fantastic. It was a course I was not particularly looking forward too but had to do it as part of the upskilling requirement with the SIA. However not only did I find the course enjoyable, but I came away from the course with some new skills and knowledge. The trainers were very professional and really knew their stuff. I cannot recommended HZL more highly and will defiantly be using them again in the future. Sorry for the rant!!! If you deliver Security Training , specifically PI Training, check your facts before commenting on Physical Skills Training that is outside of the DS / CP Physical Intervention Training: 1) SIA are not a Governing Body for Use of Force / Physical Intervention / Control & Restraint / Handcuffing Training. There is NO Governing Body for this !!!! 2) The SIA cannot dictate what Physical skills / Tactics security operatives use in a real situation, it will come back to was it Necessary, Proportionate, Justified 3) There is no such thing as " SIA Approved Training" If you are teaching to your students or believe the opposite of this, then please stop teaching, you are not a trainer, you are what's wrong with Training in this Industry. Rant Over!!!! 🤬🤬🤣
