We have some top CoS candidates who are totally uninterested in remote roles because they want to be co-located with their CEO, and I think this is a smart preference. Whether it's fair or not, getting face time in with your Principal puts you at a huge advantage to progress in your role as a Chief of Staff and beyond (promotion to Head of or VP Ops / COO / etc.) It's never "all-else-equal", but if a candidate is between a remote option and hybrid -- and career progression is super important to them -- hybrid is the way to go. #chiefofstaff #recruiting
