We’re thrilled that The Cup Collective has joined forces with Trinity College Dublin, providing the 1.5 million annual visitors to the campus even more sustainable solutions. The student-led partnership launched last week during the campus’ Green Week and is just one example of students coming together to inspire change and create a positive impact on our environment. And we’re proud to play our small part. To read the full article from the Irish Examiner click on the link in the comments. #thecupcollective #trinitycollegedublin #recycling #trinitygreenweek

How do you see the #skill of #systemthinking or making connections? The article captures the demonstration of skill perfectly. Systems thinking is a way of making sense of the complexity of the world by looking at it in terms of wholes and relationships rather than by splitting it down into its parts. Callum, a student at Ynysddu Primary School, Wales enthusiastically shared his school's air quality monitoring project, saying: "We do this by looking at the types of lichen growing on different surfaces. For example, areas with more nitrogen-loving lichen, like the kind we found near the rugby club car park, show poorer air quality from car fumes. That's why we're encouraging people to turn their engines off completely when parked – it can make a real difference!" The above is also a great example of how we can take action using biodiversity as an indicator of a health ecosystem. I feel so proud of the impact we are creating at Foundation for Environmental Education. In the last 30 years, Eco-Schools has become the world's largest environmental education programme. It currently engages 19.5 million students from 97 countries. https://lnkd.in/dB2QYbJJ #GreeningEducation #GenerationRestoration #ESD Foundation for Environmental Education UNESCO UNICEF Lee Wray-Davies Olivia Copsey Reeza Hanselmann Owen Derbyshire Lan Yu Tan

Monitoring and evaluation = definitely not boring. In fact, its some of the most interesting work we do (imho!) 🤓 Who wouldn't want to know why something works or doesn't? Evaluation is sometimes associated with a clipboard and inspection from some shadowy figure - but we think its so much more than that. Our approach is all about learning and improvement. 💪 And if you ask me the best organisations are *all about learning* Get in touch if you want to talk about proper useful #evaluation
Someone once asked us whether measuring the impact of a project might be a bit... dry? Well, they hadn't met Leanne Kelly, Edward Houghton and the rest of the DG Cities team, who are demonstrating to our clients the real value in evaluation through assessment of a broad range of initiatives, from cycling to decarbonisation. Here are just a few of the wider economic, assurance and organisational benefits in examining what works, why (or not) and how even the best ideas might be improved.
