I think being a strong player in #SMB and #MidMarket is the new #Enterprise. Hear me out - when we were in an up-market, it made sense to have a strong hold in the ENT space: 📌VC’s cared about seeing those #logos when considering #funding 📌It helped build #brand awareness 📌It brought a large amount of #revenue for the year But in this down-market, with funding difficult to come by and #budget freezes, it’s a smart bet to get a footing in SMB / Mid-Market: 💡They have figured out how to grow amid the climate, so they’re resiliant. 💡They are quick and agile in #product releases, and so their #customers are happier. 💡They’ve figured out how to be #innovative while keeping their teams lean, so they’re already budget conscious. And, because spending has slowed, #RevOps has had to become smarter and find those unknown gems that no one has heard about that cost a 1/3 of their well-known #competitors. In this day and age, TIME is valued above almost everything else. ⏰ How can you show that you value people's time in #Cosell? Start by giving the full story of your #CosellOpportunity right upfront! Imagine this: You're deep into a big project, and then, a message pings. Sender: Hello You: Hi Sender: … Sender: … Sender: … 5 minutes later… Sender: Hello -- I'm working on [something] and I'm trying to do [etc...] You: Oh, that's [answer...] Like most, you've just spent 5 minutes glued to those three dots, waiting for a complete message. Vs. Sender: Hello -- I'm working on [something] and I'm trying to do [etc...] You: Oh, that's [answer...] In this scenario, your distraction is cut short and you’re back to getting focused in just a minute! Now, how does this tie into #Cosell with #Microsoft? First off, this issue is compounded when we are talking through email (like most referral communication) vs. instant message (like in the example). Stop sending referrals that start with just a “Hello.” In #Coselling with Microsoft, it's all about building relationships. Each referral has a real person on the other side, deciphering how they can assist. They're flooded with referrals each week. Which ones will catch their attention? The vague “Hellos” or the referrals packed with clear actions, detailed notes, and specifics about the deal? You know the answer. Avoid sending incomplete co-sell stories. A small investment of time upfront can lead to greater returns and better engagement later. It's like not signing up for Clear or Global Entry because it takes 30 minutes, even though it saves you hours in the long run. 🔑 Remember, in business partnerships, clarity not only saves time but also translates to value. When joining Despatch Cloud one of my first initiatives was to start extending our partnership relationships and re-align what a partnership should look like for the company. Gone are the days of just providing mutual referrals, I believe a successful partnership these days needs to be a collaborative approach to share our collective knowledge and expertise and help solve our ICP's challenges, amplifying these across our respective networks. A single post announcing a relationship just doesn't cut the mustard, a partnership should be continual and ongoing not just a point in time. What's been so refreshing to see is how many of our new partners we are currently onboarding agree. A big thank you to Thomas Baker Ben Muir Conal McGuirk Megan Bingham-Walker and Andy Richley for all aligning with this approach. I can't wait to start pulling value from each of you to help offer true value to our audience. Here's a breakdown of how we're building our partner network. - We are narrowing our approach to work with partners that fit within solving challenges for our core ICP. If you work in the space of e-commerce success or Warehouse Efficiency, let's chat. - Each partner goes through an onboarding process with our products to truly see the value it offers - we want to build champions of our solutions in our partners. - We are in the process of building a partner community to build collaboration, provide new opportunities and gain feedback on new product features before they're released. (More on this soon). - When onboarded each partner will do a podcast, covering a subject they are an expert in, delving into their knowledge whilst also highlighting who they are and what they do. This is turned into a series of Videos, Blogs, Carousels, Rich Text Snippets, a Newsletter and a Podcast for us to promote the relationship over a number of months and integrating their voice into our media machine. - We will continually look for new opportunities to gain commentary from our partners on relevant areas they are subject matters. Utilising their knowledge to respond to news in a journalistic style and inform our ICP. There's a long road to go but after a week of a podcast and several partner meetings, I'm excited to see how this channel grows!
