Did you know? At The Learning Agenda, we are capacity builders at heart - united by a mission to expand equitable learning opportunities within and outside of schools. For over a decade, our mission has called us to serve as conveners, and to put together top-notch meetings and conferences. We have put together engaging events for clients including the Barr Foundation, The Wallace Foundation, William T. Grant Foundation, William Penn Foundation, the Texas Education Agency, the National Academy of Education, and more. Our collaboration and support has brought us to conversations and spaces where we have the opportunity to learn about the latest research, evidence, and promising practices. We appreciate our partners and are always open to new projects where we can bring best-of-class planning and event management to new groups of educators, researchers, and innovators. Reach out if you’d like to explore the role we could play in facilitating, leading content planning, and/or planning and managing logistics for your upcoming events.

We can’t wait to work with the Cross-Sector Alliance to help more youth flourish and thrive through better systems integration!
I had such a great experience in Itasca, IL connecting with colleagues supporting the National Center on Adolescent and Young Adult Heath and Well-being! Thank you, American Academy of Pediatrics, for being great hosts and offering The Learning Agenda an opportunity to play a role in launching the Cross-Sector Alliance. We can’t wait to see where this work takes us, promoting youth thriving through better systems integration. Even though I have no pictures to prove it, what I valued most from this meeting was getting to know and learning from new colleagues.

Congratulations to the winners of the Inaugural #EngageEveryStudent Recognition Program representing CT, GA, ID, IL, MD, MS, NE, NH, NJ, OH, OR, SC, and SD!
Congratulations to the Inaugural #EngageEveryStudent Recognition Program Champions, who successfully formed school-nonprofit/community partnerships and leveraged stimulus funds to expand critical supports during afterschool and summer! Special shout out to Ohio Urban Renaissance and Youngstown City School District from my home state for their commitment to providing high school students with meaningful project-based learning, career exploration opportunities, and mental health and wellness supports during this critical time of recovery. Also sending thanks to Sheronda N. Witter, Ph.D. for her leadership in creating this inaugural program. It was no small undertaking. I'm looking forward to celebrating with all of the recipients and partners in DC next month! We’re having fun connecting and building a stronger vision, culture of joy and belonging, and plans for #summerlearning programs with our Texas Education Agency, district, and organizational partners. Thanks to The Wallace Foundation and Texas Impact Network for the opportunity to come together once again this year. And a huge thanks to our team Monica Armendariz, BiNi Coleman, MBA, Sarah Pitcock Lohnes, Ryan Berlin, and Katie Willse for their leadership on this meeting. Looking forward to digging into high-quality enrichment and partnerships today!
Don’t test me! I still got it, y’all — won the Rock-Paper-Scissors demonstration 🙌🏽 after which about 180 educators dove right into a full-scale battle! 🪨 📄 ✂️ Our winner won the crown 👸🏽 After that, we got back to the business of sharing best practices, meaning making with data, and peer exchanges that will undoubtedly result in high quality summer programs across the state of Texas in 2024 ☀️ Summer learning is serious business (yet FUN 🎉), and planning has to start early. The data is showing that young students in high quality summer programs are improving academically at a faster rate than the general student population in Texas 🌟 Let’s gooooo! #ADSY2023StatewideConvening #summerlearning
