Here's a common misconception about Cold Outbound: "Cold emails are used by sales people to make sales" 🙄 I'm a huge sucker for cold outreach and it's been my fav part of sales for years. But, my favorite type of cold outreach campaign is not the sales one. It's the networking one. With networking campaigns, your goal is not (absolutely not) to sell your product or service. Your goal is to build a relationship with someone and exchange experiences and insights. If you're sending cold outreach; "Your job is to reach out to prospects and find if they've the problem you solve" Of course you've to sell and let them know your product is a good fit But if you're curious about making cold outreach work for you: "Try to be helpful and give your prospects something they can use now" and good things will happen! Stop saying ‘sorry’ on a cold outreach. It should not include an apology 🛑 “Hi X, this is Shabbir here from Y, sorry to disturb you but I want to …..” 😢 Apologizing generally means that you are doing something wrong & there is nothing wrong in doing cold calls or emails which is a part of your job as long as you don’t insult or abuse anyone. ❎ You are reaching out to solve their problems & present something that can help them make their life simpler 🤝 Research your prospect, gather relevant information & note down points of conversation. 🕵♀️ Keep rocking! 👨🎤 CoolOutreachAI #prospecting #sales #coldoutreach #email #coldemail

Early in my career, I had to call into a prospect list that many people had called into before.  I obviously got a lot of no’s. What I learned is that I had to differentiate myself. I spent a lot of time going into why I was different from those they had engaged with in the past.  I also explained how I could help them get more from the company I was working for.  And it worked.  So, if you’re struggling with cold outreach, focus on what makes you different. Focus on how you are different than other sales calls and deliver value in every interaction.

Sales/recruitment outreach is a love & hate relationship! On the one hand, you get to prospect very interesting people and on the other, rarely anyone replies (even after the sequence follow-ups). Having done this for some years now (more candidate outreach then and this past year with sales pitching), here are my tips: 1. Conciseness is key (no more than 5-6 sentences, each spaced out) 2. Personalize every email and you can leverage AI too 3. Content format: Who you are, what problem/pain point can you solve, and have you done this before (ideally in their industry) 4. No more than 4 follow-ups, but people say it takes 7 touch points to get a meeting 5. Read your email before sending and ask yourself, would I be excited to receive this myself? Tips and tricks for SDRs using LinkedIn and Sales Navigator for outreach 📱 1. See if any of your target prospects are following YOUR Sales Leaders. 2. Star your key prospects in your messages - you can keep track of them this way. 3. Upload your target account list into Sales Navigator to find employees following your company. 4. Check job postings regularly - if you are selling a sales tool, chances are companies hiring for SDRs are a generally a good fit. 5. Ask for permission prior to sending your first message - ‘Hey (name), great to connect with you! Mind if I send over a quick voicenote to explain why I’m reaching out :)’ Happy Prospecting 💜
