A co-worker with Kiewit just lost his mother to MD. Let's help him meet his goal running in her name in the 128th Boston Marathon.
If you’re thinking “I don’t care what Jesse’s running for this year, he can take my money for whatever charity….”, then just click the link below, thanks! I’m running the 128th Boston Marathon to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

PLEASE READ ON & JOIN ME AND MY NEW FOCUS THIS YEAR:
I'm going to run the 128th Boston Marathon for charity again. This time for the MDA, an organization that is crucial for those struggling with Neuromuscular Disease. A dream come true for the 2nd year in a row. That part is a dream.
I’m also running for my mother this year. That part is tough.
In early May of 2023, 5 weeks after arriving at Champlain Hudson, my mother was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). It’s known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking famously lived with ALS for several years. Pete Frates sparked the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge 10 years ago. Aside from these famous folks, this ALS killer targets around 20,000 new people per year. It’s 100% fatal and incurable. ALS sucks. Typical life expectancy for an ALS patient is 2-5 years once diagnosed. If you want to know more about how ALS operates, I asked AI to write a 200-word description on my fundraising page.
Since May, over the course of 10 months, a wonderful yogi, dancer, artist, all-around community star, mother, wife, and grandmother was systematically stripped of muscular function in a gruesome battle with ALS. My mother passed away on March 4th, 2024. She was a remarkable woman and it’s a privilege to run in her honor this year.
Our family’s loss is still raw, but I have to get the word out fast, since I’ve just FIVE DAYS left to raise money. Thanks to several of you for already getting the word out and donating – rock on.
Please join me and just 9 others on MDA Team Momentum to help fund research for the development of cures and support families dealing with muscular diseases. MDA is the largest non-government source of funding for MDA Care Centers like MGH in Boston, where ALS patients get specialized treatment thanks to donors like you. More on the MDA here
One day there will be a cure for ALS. Don’t miss your chance now to play a part in stopping this disease in its tracks!
Let’s raise $20,000 to support the MDA! My page is at the link below:
