What does Beauty Mean to You? A question that I have asked beauty industry experts, innovators, celebrities, influencers, creators and every day people throughout my career as a producer and host. The answers are always thoughtful, meaningful and different from person to person. Beauty, to me, means humanity. It's about the kindness we show to ourselves and others, the empathy we express, and the connections we forge. True beauty lies in our ability to uplift and support one another, to celebrate our differences, and to find strength in our shared experiences. But people say Beyoncé can actually change the whiskey market. SirDavis is a luxurious brand, unapologetically tied to the singer herself through references in naming and flavours. It’s sweet and dare I say, feminine. But why not? Opening up traditionally men-dominated, strong and masculine liquor segment to a new audience can work wonders. As an avid fan of both Queen B and whiskey, I will buy it. Would you? ✅ ✅ Tommy Hilfiger’s fashiontainment ✅ ✅ Brands are finally learning how to hone in on their entertainment appeal. And for a good reason. People are increasingly longing to escape, to get excited, to forget the worries of the everyday. And what better way to do so than with a combination of pop-culture and immersive experience? TH’s latest Fashion Week show in NYC was marked by immersion. Hosted on an old ferry, waiters strolling between the ferry seats served guests champagne, beer, hot dogs, soft pretzels, and custom boxes of caramel corn with a Hilfiger logo and Statue of Liberty pins inside as a prize. ✅ ✅ Netflix’s The Perfect Couple x Diet Prada ✅ ✅   The Perfect Couple, which dropped this September on Netflix might just have the perfect advertising strategy. Teaming up with Diet Prada, a notoriously (in)famous gossip account on Instagram, the campaign portrayed the story of the family as a real one big juicy scoop. Taking the lesson from the Gossip Girl’s book, people actually got confused until they realised that it really was Nicole Kidman in the post and not the real Mrs. Windbury. Well done! ✅ ✅ The case of Erewhon ✅ ✅ I have been fascinated by this luxurious grocery store for months now. Who on earth pays 30 dollars for a smoothie? But the more I think about it, the more I am sure that had I lived in L.A., I would most likely have an Erewhon membership card. Luckily, I am not the only one fascinated by the success of Erewhon. Whether you agree or not…. Colour plays a significant role in the world where you and I live in. Consciously and unconsciously, it influences the perception you have about the things you see. You can wake up in the morning and be very enthusiastic about the day, cause the sky looks beautiful to you. Colour is one of the major elements that makes you feel that emotion. I dare you to count how many colours you've seen since you woke up, can you? That's why as a business owner, you cannot not pay attention to the colours you pick for your Brand, cause it affects the perception your audience have about your Brand. Yellow, Orange and Red trigger hunger. Food brands like KFC, The Place, use them for a reason. A signature colour can increase brand recognition by a whopping 80%, isn't that crazy? I've been reflecting on the recent marketing strategies from YSL, and I can't help but feel disappointed and confused. Their approach seems overly negative, and it’s hard to believe infact I refuse to believe that the NPD team is overlooking such an important aspect of inclusivity. Sending PR packages to people of color? That just doesn’t sit right with me. It feels like a missed opportunity. I can almost predict their next move 🤨 launching blushes for all skin tones, which will likely turn into a hit.
