The need for a non-drug, non-disruptive migraine treatment is now more important than ever—and should be covered by health plans. Unfortunately, many health plans overlook the efficacy and safety associated with drug-free treatments like the Nerivio® REN wearable. This oversight not only impacts the quality of life for countless patients but also ignores substantial cost savings. Using Nerivio demonstrated a reduction in acute migraine medication usage and in presenteeism, accounting for significant cost savings to payers. Covering the Nerivio REN wearable isn’t just beneficial for patients. It's financially smart for insurers too. By not covering this effective, drug-free treatment, insurers are missing out on significant cost reductions for their members. Read the full study about the clinical benefits and economic cost-savings of the REN wearable for migraine prevention here: https://lnkd.in/eZZJRRNm

Transforming lives with a connected care ecosystem With monitoring tools and data at our disposal, we are taking a step closer to enable holistic care for people with diabetes. At the same time, such solutions can yield economic benefits by reducing hospitalizations, supporting early interventions, and lowering the risk of complications and related doctor visits and treatment. This is reflected in the findings of several global studies. The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) Nationwide audit highlighted a 50% reduction seen in monthly hospital admissions for hyperglycemia or related diabetes complications. Similarly, a US MarketScan study reported a 32% reduction in all cause hospitalization in people with type 2 diabetes. The potential of technology to transform the lives of people with diabetes is immense and unlimited. With CGM devices and connected digital health apps, people with diabetes can lead fuller lives of greater convenience and comfort. This helps in moving forward with freedom to participate in activities that bring them joy, while they actively make decisions to stay in control of their diabetes. These solutions can be simple, yet life changing.

CEO and Board Advisory for Digital Health, Health, Healthcare and Wellness organizations, especially focused on Innovation/ Technology for Healthy Aging and/or Vulnerable populations.
This is a really useful article well worth reading. #Chronicconditions across #healthcare including #diabetes, #hypertension, #heartdisease, #cancer, and more, represent some of the most common and costly #health issues worldwide, particularly when not properly managed. These conditions often require ongoing medical #care, frequent #hospital visits, and extensive #treatments, which leads to soaring #healthcarecosts. Without the proper support and care, patients often fail to manage their conditions effectively, increasing preventable hospital admissions and emergency room visits. This cycle of poor health outcomes not only impacts patients, but also significantly raises healthcare expenses for providers and payers. Digital or #digitalhealth navigation presents a great opportunity to change this dramatically. Effective care journey maps have increasingly shown their ability to reduce hospital #readmissions and emergency visits. One example here is using predictive analytics to identify high-risk patients and offering them personalized care plans. Other approaches focus on #homecare, transportation assistance, and medication management. The key here though is coordination or as it is better described #carenavigation so that the citizen or #patientexperience is always first & foremost. Another huge opportunity for all #entrepreneurs and #intrapreneurs! Thoughts appreciated. #Entrepreneurship #sdoh #innovation #ai #vulnerablepopulations #healthyaging #wellness https://lnkd.in/gg_nug-Z

As a man, bills and responsibilities aren't the only things you worry about. Aging, with its health challenges, can be a cause for concern. But with regular check-ups, you're bound to stay a few steps ahead. 🩻🩺 Here’s 3 essential tests you should prioritize as a man despite your busy work schedule🧔🏾♂️: 1. A Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Test🩺: Getting a PSA and Digital Rectal Examination (DRE) helps to detect prostate cancer before it spreads. This lowers the chance of death from prostate cancer in some men. 2. Testicular Ultrasound🧍🏾♂️: Although testicular cancer is rare in men who are 20-54 years old, an ultrasound helps detect any risks early. This is why monthly self-exams are highly recommended. 3. A Comprehensive Metabolic and Lipid Panel Test 🩸: This test reveals important information about the health of your vascular system, liver, kidneys, and blood cells. In other words, it can help detect heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions before they worsen 👌🏿. Prioritize your well being today. Schedule your health screening with us on clafiya.com

Thanks Finn Stevenson for flagging the latest NHS wait time data to us. We revisit the latest statistics behind low back pain and musculoskeletal conditions in our latest newsletter (in comments). 📊 20m people in the UK have an MSK-related health problem, but only 8m are being seen by the NHS. 🕰️ There are >300k people on the waiting lists for musculoskeletal conditions in the UK. Up to 30% of GP health visits are linked to MSK conditions. 👵 By 2030, more than 15 million people in the UK will be over 65 years of age, resulting in an ever-increasing demand on MSK services. We’re really excited about digital solutions, especially Flok Health. Flok is the UK’s first autonomous personal physiotherapy clinic, and the only technology with MHRA approval to autonomously assess and treat back pain. An Ultimate Guide to 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 ⏩𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞: https://lnkd.in/es_SGEhq Home #healthcare is mostly used when a patient or individual requires prolonged care or stays in healthcare facilities. The growth of the Latin America #homecare Market is attributed to the rising burden of chronic diseases, the growing geriatric population, the rising #healthcarecosts , and increasing #healthcareexpenditure. However, the shortage of skilled professionals is expected to restrain the growth of this market. Thus, the growth in the aging population and the subsequent increase in chronic disease prevalence is expected to drive the #homehealthcare market in Latin America. Furthermore, the growing adoption of #telehealth and remote patient monitoring is expected to offer growth opportunities for the players operating in this market. However, low awareness regarding home #healthcare is a major challenge for the growth of the Latin America home healthcare market.
