After completing the 125-mile non-stop Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Marathon, also known as ‘the longest non-stop canoe race in the world’, Nick and Chris, both veteran Royal Marines are now looking to complete the ‘World’s longest canoe race’- The Yukon 1000 to raise awareness and funds for RMA – The Royal Marines Charity and PSC Support.
Due to commence on 12th July, and must be completed within 10 days, the Yukon 1000 starts in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada and ends at the Dalton Highway Bridge in Alaska, covering 1000 miles of the Yukon River. This race is an unsupported test of physical and mental fortitude through the wilderness.

Transparency is key when it comes to nonprofit spending. As a member of the leadership team of American Corporate Partners (ACP), I'm proud to say that our organization provides transparency around our finances and governance. By doing so, we seek to inspire trust and confidence among our partners and stakeholders. #transparency#nonprofit#governance
We're proud to share that 90% of ACP expenses directly support our career development program, surpassing the 75% benchmark recommended by top charity evaluators!

Just booked into the overnight accommodation after a long day. The weather was hot ☀️ with a few light showers ☔️, but the Scottish Borders never fail to amaze me with amazing views and tranquility.
Throughout the day, three people approached me, curious about what I am doing. Their interest was heartwarming ❤️, and they expressed their intention to donate online 💰. It is moments like these that remind me why being on the roads is the best thing.
Many people often express their desire to embark on similar journeys, saying, "I wish I could do that" or "I'd love to do that." My response to them is simple yet profound: the magic you seek ✨, the fulfillment you desire, lies in the work you are avoiding.
As I settle in for the night, preparing kit to hit the roads again in the morning, I am filled with anticipation. The thought of meeting all the incredible individuals participating in the 54 mile hiking in 24hrs the Beast of event calledThe Cateran Yompp on June 8th for the Army Benevolent Fund fills me with excitement and proud to ambassador for theArmy Benevolent Fund 🏔️🚶♂️💪♦️🦁🇬🇧

New Ypres League
The New Ypres League is an Ypres based charity dedicated to remembering the fallen of all sides in The Ypres Salient during the Great War of 1914 - 1918.
Remembrance in the Ypres Salient of today presents us with a whole new set of unique challenges. The last veterans of the Great War left us a few years ago but remembering the fallen in the Salient is still as relevant today as it was in the 1920s and 30s. Although the Great War ended over 100 years ago, the Salient still regularly gives up its grisly harvest. The remains of over 135,000 soldiers of the Great War lay unrecovered in the cold clay of Flanders, these remains are still being recovered every year. Once the remains have gone through the identification process, they are reburied with military honours in one of the many military cemeteries in the area.
These ceremonies and the sacrifice made by these soldiers require official recognition in the form of wreath laying and the attendance of a standard bearer. In addition to the burials there are many ceremonies that require official attendance, anniversaries of major battles, special Last Post ceremonies, visits from VIPS all of which require official attendance.
However, as time marches on, and age becomes more of a factor, there are fewer and fewer people and organisations available in the Ypres Salient to perform these tasks. It is vital that the sacrifice made by the fallen in the Ypres Salient is not forgotten and that a whole new generation of volunteers are encouraged actively to partake in remembrance activities.
With this issue in mind, I am proud to announce that I have been appointed a Patron of the New Ypres League.
