Since 2004, Gilbert van Wingerden, founder of The Workation Agency, has been regularly visiting Málaga, a place that has always inspired him to work from Spain. Nowadays, Gilbert lives in Spain and has the opportunity to work from here every day. He knows the benefits of this and wants to inspire companies to do this regularly as well. At the time, Gilbert worked for his internet company and served Dutch clients from Spain. They were already working remotely, using a Skype phone to connect with the Netherlands. Later, developers from the Netherlands also came to Málaga and Marbella to work there for a few days. This is when the seed was planted for the creation of The Workation Agency. Our mission is to inspire people and companies to look beyond the traditional office walls where they work daily. Working in a different location, such as Spain, offers numerous benefits besides all the beauty that Spain has to offer: Increased productivity: A new environment can help stimulate creativity and productivity. Better work-life balance: Working in an inspiring environment helps to find a better balance between work and private life. Networking and inspiration: Meeting new people and discovering other cultures can lead to valuable insights and innovations. Team building: Collaborating in a different environment promotes team spirit and strengthens the bond between colleagues. At The Workation Agency, we believe that a change of environment can work wonders for employee motivation and well-being. Have you or your team ever worked in different locations? #workations #marbella #spain #teambuilding

How remote work is celebrating diversity and cultural traditions around the globe 🌐 At our company, remote work is more than just a convenience; it celebrates cultural diversity. Our team members have the unique opportunity to work from locations that resonate most deeply with them — their hometown, a new city, or somewhere in between. This flexibility not only boosts productivity and satisfaction but also enriches our company culture by embracing the diverse traditions of our employees. From observing Ramadan in Dubai to enjoying Midsommar in Sweden and tapping into the festive spirit of Oktoberfest in Bavaria, our colleagues are empowered to participate in their local traditions. This freedom strengthens connections with their communities and enriches our collective understanding of the world. Through remote work, we are not just supporting our employees' professional lives but are also honoring their personal identities and cultural practices. At the end of the day, it's about creating a work environment where everyone feels respected, connected, and valued, no matter where they are in the world. P.s.: The picture shows the "Valborg" (Walpurgis) celebration in Sweden from one of our employees a few days ago. What's a typical holiday or celebration in your hometown? ✨ #remotework #hr #diversity #remote #culture

🇦🇹🇦🇲 Working from Vienna vs working from Yerevan Vienna has become a 2nd home to me, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time here. Every visit reaffirms why this city is a unique place to work. Here are some key aspects I’ve noticed about the work culture in Vienna: • Punctuality: Being on time is essential and reflects professionalism. In Armenia, being 5-10 minutes late is quite normal. In Vienna, however, there’s no way you can get away with that! Meetings start promptly, and everyone expects you to be there on the dot. • Work-Life Balance: Almost everything shuts down at 8 PM, and even earlier at 7 PM on weekends. This was the most unusual thing for me to adjust to! In Yerevan, I’m used to working 12-14 hour days, and everyone supports that hustle. But here, if you send an email after working hours, it will stay unanswered until the next day. It’s strange and not quite my style yet. When I’m in Vienna, I miss the lively, late-night working hours from Yerevan’s coffeeshops. • Teamwork and Collaboration: While roles are well-defined, there’s a collaborative spirit that encourages team bonding and collective success. This part is totally the same as in Armenia. • Early Starts: Life in Vienna often starts at 6am. People engage in sports or exercise as early as 5 AM, enjoy a slow coffee and breakfast, and then head to work. By 11am, much of the day’s work is already accomplished. In Armenia, people usually start around 9-10am, though we came to 8am-5pm schedule at Magnus HR, but still. 🔍 Have you worked in Vienna or another city in Austria? What are your thoughts? For my Armenian friends and colleagues, what do you think would be the biggest challenge for Armenians from Armenia in adapting to Vienna’s work culture? For me that's starting early, imagine me calmly waking up at 10am and realizing I’m late from life! 🙈 #Vienna #WorkCulture #Austria #Yerevan #WorkLifeBalance #Armenia

Connecting brands and creators seamlessly in one platform | Looking for A-Players to join our team! | CEO stylink
Exploring the magic of team growth in Portugal's sunshine 🌞🇵🇹 Ever felt the power of a team unleashed outside the four walls of an office? Our adventure in Portugal didn't just change our work dynamics; it transformed our bonds. 🚀 For years, the concept of a workation simmered in my mind, waiting for the perfect moment to emerge. Last week, that moment arrived. We embarked on a five-day journey to Ericeira near Lisbon, transcending the boundaries of our workspace to delve deeper into the essence of teamwork. Immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture of Portugal, embracing challenges, and diving into creative brainstorming against the backdrop of the Atlantic, we didn't just work; we thrived together. 🌊🏰 What did we discover? 🤔 ➡️ A shift in perspective: Leaving the office sparked newfound freedom and trust among the team. Conversations flowed easily, bonds strengthened, and understanding grew. ➡️ Embracing team culture: We went beyond typical team-building activities, focusing on our core values and aspirations. By clarifying our mission and roles, we set the stage for a more aligned future. ➡️ Unleashing creativity: From problem-solving challenges to strategic brainstorming sessions, our workation provided the perfect backdrop for innovation to flourish. Even amidst the Atlantic winds, creativity soared. But perhaps the most profound revelation was our team's unwavering dedication and enthusiasm in shaping stylink's vision and fostering a joyful, collaborative culture, filling me with immense pride. Workation went beyond work, creating lasting memories from exploring Portugals vibrant streets to celebrating successful barbecue parties. Each experience left a lasting impression on our journey. So, would I do it all over again? Absolutely. Because the bonds we've forged and the insights we've gained are invaluable, propelling us towards a future of limitless possibilities. #workation #teamadventure #teamsynergy #innovationunleashed

Personal Branding / Social Media & Digital / Content Marketing / 2 TED x Speaker/ Brand Strategy 👉 Consultant, Coach and Trainer 🧘 Wellbeing Entrepreneur & Yoga Enthusiast
🛩 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲: 𝟭𝟬 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 😎 I'm working from Europe right now, and I'm using this unique opportunity to reignite my personal brand and connect with a global audience. Spain is these weeks' base, and it's been a fantastic chance to reconnect with business contacts here. Here are 10 tips I've learned to leverage travel experiences and build a brand that resonates with a glo-cal (global & local) audience: 1️⃣ Share travel stories: but please go beyond selfies! Highlight how travel broadened your horizons and ignited passions (e.g., Bali might have sparked your interest in wellbeing). 2️⃣ Bridge cultures: Share respectful insights to build understanding of diverse customs and traditions. By adapting, you are more welcome. 3️⃣ Network locally: Ditch webinars! Connect with local professionals offline (e.g., cafes, conferences, etc..) 4️⃣ Find shared interests: Build connections beyond your title (photography, social impact, local cuisine even - easy in Spain! 😋 ). 5️⃣ Glo-cal content mindset: Tailor content for a glo-cal audience (remember you are targeting now a more diverse audience!) 6️⃣ Speak the local lingo: adapt to local rules to show respect and open doors for deeper connections. 7️⃣ Collaborate across borders: Partner with people you meet! Co-hosted masterclasses can expand your reach. 8️⃣ Showcase global skills: Highlight new skills learned abroad to show adaptability. 9️⃣ Engage globally: Join LinkedIn groups focused on international collaboration or regional trends. 🔟 Advocate for local causes: Use your platform to raise awareness for social or environmental issues that are trendy in your summer destination. By following these tips, you can transform your travel experiences into powerful personal branding tools! 🎗 Remember: authenticity is ALWAYS key, in any culture. Share your stories, showcase your global skills, and build connections that transcend borders. Example: while exploring a local collaboration, we came to know that they have a connection....in the UAE! 😉 You never know where the new conversations can take you.....the world is waiting to hear from you! Thoughts? #personalbranding #networking #careergoals #businessgrowth #executivecoaching #connections #wellbeing PS: 😁 Fun note about this week's experience: I had forgotten than in Spain, even in business contexts, sometimes we give 2 kisses when we get introduced, so me (unconsciously) shaking hands as first greeting has been shocking to many people! 😂 😂 This is how living abroad changes us!

Unleash the potential of people and processes for social impact | Facilitation - Consulting - Training
Brussels is getting empty. Work life here is slowing down. Most of the projects with clients have been wrapped up, some are in estivation mode and will pick up again towards the end of August, some will yet have to be kicked off. Less active client work means more time for myself, reflecting on what's happened so far this year, dreaming about what is yet to come, and for developing new ideas and approaches that I could offer to my clients. In fact, a lot of the methods I use when working with clients, I also apply to myself and my business. By walking the talk, I feel I can be of better, more authentic service to my clients - and ensure that I stay aligned with my values, mission and vision. Everything is interconnected. ♻️ 👉 How do you take advantage of quieter periods in your professional life? #ReflectionTime #BusinessDevelopment #WalkTheTalk

🌍 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐮𝐱𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐠? Here are a few insights that might make your transition smoother! As an expat, I hit quite a few walls during and after my relocation. Here is what I wish I knew earlier: 🏘️𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Luxembourg's charm comes with a hefty price tag, especially in the city center. 𝐈𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐲, 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫, 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡, 𝐨𝐫 𝐊𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞. But hey, nearly a third of the workforce commutes from neighbouring countries like Belgium's Arlon, France's Thionville, or Germany’s Trier! It’s a trade-off between city buzz versus serene outskirts, but brace yourself for potential mental breakdowns thanks to traffic and parking. 📋𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝: Once you've secured your spot, don't forget the admin! The "𝐁𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫-𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫" awaits your registration once you've got that Luxembourgish address. It's a bureaucratic dance, but an essential one! Bring your ID, employment contract, leasing agreement, and an extra dose of patience. 🙋♂️𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐭: Moving might feel a bit isolating, but fear not! 𝐋𝐮𝐱𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐠 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞. Whether you're seeking professional connections or casual hangouts, numerous companies, associations, and clubs host a variety of meetups. 👉If you have faced the same challenges, feel free to share which other points would have been key for you to pinpoint.
