So they are paying you in UK to kill your animals? Banned breed XL Bully , yes?? No? However you are paying incentives?? No, the government will not pay you to kill your animals. However, in the context of the recent ban on American bully XL dogs in the UK, the government is offering £200 compensation towards the costs of having a dog euthanized as part of the ban[1][3]. This is intended to incentivize owners to have their dogs euthanized rather than rehomed or abandoned, as it will soon be illegal to own an American bully XL without an exemption[3]. These creatures are clearly struggling to find #food and #water, and their living conditions are far from ideal. Gasps, sighs, and oh my’s!😍 ⬆️That’s me when I see pretty much any animal… So it’s no surprise that I started fostering dogs to help in the mission to save as many animals as possible. ✅Getting innocent animals out of shelters and into loving homes with adoptions ✅Fostering for rescues to make room for other animals in need ✅Donating food and resources to make shelter life more comfortable ✅Providing a sense of relief for the selfless people running these organizations I decided to focus on helping animal rescues and nonprofits appeal to fosters, donors, and supporters through a high converting brand and website, designed and built by someone who knows what they need. “ Ariel H. ・・・ 🐶🐱 Each year, approximately 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized (390,000 dogs and 530,000 cats). Sydney has every odd stacked against her. ➡️ She’s 6 years old. (Which is considered “senior” by adoption standards) ➡️ She’s black. (Studies have shown that black dogs are less likely to be adopted than lighter-colored dogs) ➡️ She’s a shepherd. (Shepherds are often considered a “vicious breed”) ➡️ She’s a large dog. (Studies show that small dogs are adopted more often because they can more easily fit into the owner’s home). Most shelters would have put her down. Instead, she was rescued by Pilots to the Rescue and now enjoys life with her adopted family. Unfortunately, not all dogs and cats enjoy the same happy ending. AARF is a Baltimore based 100% volunteer 501c3 non-profit. We specialize in rehabilitating physically abused cats and dogs who find their way into Baltimore area municipal shelters such as BARCS. We are no-kill. This is expensive work. I personally volunteer as a cat medical foster. I have cared for and rehabbed burned,blinded and physically cripppled cats and kittens. If we csmt find homes for them, they are “mine” for the rest of their lives. If you have not tasted this ice cream, personally I think it puts all others to shame. Client appreciation event idea. Animal shelter and lunch. 🐶 🥪 You could pay/donate to the shelter so you could bring a dozen or couple dozen clients to a park next to an animal shelter. The clients could have lunch and go pet dogs and cats and take them for little walks. Maybe have a silent auction for some desirable item and give the proceeds to the shelter. A shelter employee could give a presentation and encourage donations and adoptions. The animals win because a few might get adopted and the rest get to play. The clients win because it’s free lunch and the chance to hang out with dogs. And the advisor wins because what client is gonna leave if their advisor seems like a real, caring human? And especially if the client adopts a dog or cat from that event?? My wife and I just went to a shelter and it was a very emotional experience. Y’all could tap in to that and actually help someone with your client appreciation events. Instead of giving them wine and cheese lol. #financialadvisor #marketing

The first day I volunteered at my local animal shelter, I didn't enjoy it. I happened to arrive at a busy time, there was no one to show me around, and if you've ever heard the sound of 80+ dogs barking, you'll know it can feel intense! I went to help. I wanted to be useful, but as I stood there with people and dogs milling around me, I didn't know how. A more confident person might have grabbed a lead and got stuck in. I'm quite shy in new situations, so I went and hid in the cat house. Much more civilised 😂 Luckily, a lovely and experienced volunteer found me and asked if I wanted a tour. He introduced me to every dog, told me about the rules and routines, and went on my first walk with me. After that, all was well (I now go 4-5 times a week to help out and walk dogs like the gorgeous Glenda pictured above). The shelter is a tiny, under-resourced charity, they need volunteers to function. It's completely understandable that they don't have time for a formal induction. But... how how could they make sure everyone who walks through the gate with the intention to help feels able to? That's something I'm helping them with at the moment: - what to expect when you arrive - setting up a buddy system with a more experienced volunteer - having rules and routines clearly displayed - adding a few words under each animals' name to describe them Volunteers Week is coming up (3-9 June), and if you're planning to recruit new volunteers, you might want to think about how you'll set expectations and welcome people before you design your advert. The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association announced that guide dog mum ‘Puds’ delivered nine puppies in time for Christmas. ‘The Puddings’, as they have been called, will live with mum and a Guide Dogs volunteer for 8 weeks before starting their year-long pupdom with a Guide Dogs raiser.
