On this day, the Naval Postgraduate School Foundation stands in solemn remembrance of the events that unfolded 22 years ago on September 11, 2001. We honor and remember the victims of 9/11, those who have sacrificed since, and all those who continue to be affected by the enduring legacy of that tragic day. September 11, 2001, marked a day of unparalleled tragedy and loss. Yet, in the face of adversity, it also revealed the indomitable spirit of the American people. Acts of bravery, unity and compassion served as a testament to our Nation's resilience. The lessons learned from 9/11 have profoundly influenced the work of organizations like the Naval Postgraduate School and its Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS). Established in the wake of those fateful events, CHDS' mission is rooted in the commitment to ensure the safety and security of our Nation.
