Day 9 of a #sharednarrative for #Plymouth: We are all connected. We are all connected, unable to go any moment without relying on natural resources and other people. Our bodies as made of more bacteria than human cells. Our clothes are made 1000s of miles away, our phones use metals mined in dangerous conditions and we ship our waste to other countries. We live in this #interconnected space of mutual reliance everyday. The interconnectedness of ourselves and our systems creates #complexity in making any socio-economic changes. There are so many interconnected variables and unpredictable cause and effect relationships which cannot be fully understood nor addressed well by any single centralised view or actor. We haven’t yet built widespread capacity to work at this whole #system level. To be able to be relevant to our context, we need to build our capabilities to organise as a system. This means to also rethink how we see change happening and our role in it.
