A summary of the trends for CES2024 💡 As CES 2024 concludes, my #1 standout has been the levels of collaboration among the large players, particularly the synergies formed by large industrials not usually associated everyday experiences like HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Siemens Sony. These collaborations are not just reshaping industries; they are fundamentally altering how consumers interact with technology, creating experiences that are more intuitive, integrated, and impactful. A standout trend at this year's CES is the transition towards software-driven products, especially evident in the mobility sector. Automotive giants and tech firms are shifting gears from hardware-centric to software-first approaches, underscoring the critical role of software in enhancing vehicle performance, safety, and user experience. This transition is more than a technological leap; it's a redefinition of mobility, where software becomes the linchpin of innovation. Check out Mercedes-Benz AG and BMW Group In the realm of consumer tech, the resurgence of Augmented Reality (AR) and Extended Reality (XR) is particularly noteworthy. These technologies, once in the backdrop, have now emerged as frontrunners, thanks to advancements in hardware and more immersive software applications. From enhancing retail experiences to revolutionizing remote work, AR and XR are unlocking new dimensions in how we live, work, and play. What's most exciting about these developments is their potential to commoditise technology, making cutting-edge innovations accessible and relevant to everyday consumers. The partnerships between industrial incumbents and tech pioneers are bridging gaps, bringing sophisticated digital solutions into our daily lives in seamless, user-friendly ways. The let down on the show was the incremental innovation by the large consumer brands. Many appeared to dust off old products, add #AI to their branding and positioned it as brand a new product. Samsung Electronics the most obvious - while there may have been more going on under the hood - I just didn't see it! #CES2024 #DigitalInnovation #Mobility #AR #XR #TechTrends

Happy New Year! And we're back...up next, CES. From a recent CES briefing, the 2024 show is going to be bigger than ever, with newcomers -- Netflix joining in Central Hall for the first time at CES 2024. New to C-Space are Disney Advertising, Charter Communications, Fandom, Fox, Kroger Precision Marketing, Madhive, Media Monks, Nexstar Media Group, Nvidia, Reddit, Viacom and Paramount. AI will likely take center stage, tackling global challenges from clean air solutions to labor shortages. Smart homes, flying cars, and wearable health tech are all on the docket — an amusing difference from the VCR, CD player, and TI-99/4 calculator showcased in the early years of CES. I look forward to learning about more groundbreaking discoveries that will define technology as we know it in the modern age. #CES2024 #Innovation #AdTech #digitaladvertising

#Disney has contributed a lot of awesome innovations to the Business Events industry. From crowd management to media integration to immersive experiences, these are some of the ways events have benefited from the cross-applications of the ideas. Even today, Disney continues to inspire events professionals across generations—not just because they deliver an exceptional guest experience but also due to their commitment to innovation and technology. #Holotile—an omnichannel treadmill 😎—looks like another product that can be adopted by the events industry. Virtual Reality/Spatial computing, any hardware resembling a headset or glasses, can help us transition into the digital/virtual world. Holotile can be retooled with it to enhance the experience and minimize physical risk. I can already envision exhibitors at trade fairs adopting the technology (AR+Holotile) to augment visitor and client visits at their booths. Organizers and venues can leverage the technology to build their moat. I will continue to delve deep into this and other technologies that can potentially shape the Business Events industry in an attempt to bridge the technology gap." #MeetinIndia #digitalindia #eventprofs #tardefairs #AI #robotics

A First-Time Dive into CES! There's a unique thrill in experiencing something for the first time, and this year, I had the incredible opportunity to attend CES – the world's largest and most influential technology event. Imagine being among over 180k attendees, exploring innovations from more than 4.5K exhibitors! CES 2024 was a tech enthusiast's paradise, showcasing everything from transparent TVs and virtual reality headsets to self-driving cars. A standout trend this year was the remarkable power of AI. It's fascinating to see AI's expanding role, from simplifying our daily schedules to revolutionizing home automation. As an industry employee deeply interested in tech advancements, I was particularly captivated by the potential of Generative AI in learning and evolving execution. Another highlight was HD Hyundai's futuristic jobsite exhibit. Their energy-saving, automated line, and the unmanned and fully electric excavator, addressed critical industry challenges like safety, skilled labor shortages, and climate change. It was a brilliant example of how tech can contribute to a more sustainable future. The experience was overwhelming – from being amazed by the latest tech, experiencing an immersive showing at The Sphere & Darren Aronofsky's 'Postcard From Earth' film, to having three days packed with productive global partner meetings. CES 2024 wasn't just an event; it was an eye-opener to the future. And for anyone who's a tech aficionado or gadget lover, I highly recommend marking your calendar for next year's CES in Las Vegas. It's an experience not to be missed! #ces2024 #tech
