In this interview I visit with seasoned energy industry vet Ed Kovalik, these days the Chairman and C.E.O. of Prairie Operating Co. (NASD-PROP.) Prairie--which obtained its Nasdaq listing right before this past Christmas--has garnered attention, in part, due to its strategy of buying accretive energy assets in what we call a "sweet spot" in the market/industry right now. Here' you'll learn about both Prairie's core assets it launched with in 2023 and its latest impressive acquisition; this all together with its growth and looming plans for added development and production. Beyond all this--and solidifying the investment case for Prairie specifically--Ed and Chris also add some key insights on the internal dynamics and pricing of energy to underscore just how out of whack things are…and to reinforce our mutual argument that fossil fuels are not only here to stay for quite some time but that the present represents another great opportunity for long-term investors to load up on "Old Energy."

Thank you Rachel Wainer for leading such a valuable strengths coaching workshop. And thanks to Mak Nagle for his leadership in seeing it through on our side. The question we are asking ourselves is, "how do we successfully originate, develop, construct, and operate #utility scale #solar and #BESS projects?" It starts with a team of bright and creative people. Thanks to this session and the ongoing coaching it now also includes a framework for how to build and empower project teams based on the unique strengths of the individuals.   Cannot recommend this enough. I'm sure there is value for many different industries, but especially if your workflow involves cross-functional project teams, this is a powerful tool to succeed on your objectives.

Integrity, intelligence, and energy are not just desirable qualities in hires; they're non-negotiable pillars for success. Without integrity as the foundation, intelligence and energy become liabilities rather than assets. 💼
