“YOU CAN’T BE TRAUMA-INFORMED WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT RACE, RACISM, AND PRIVILEGE”-cctassifilms.org 💜The JADE film series, complemented by an 18-minute short film and three 5-minute featurettes are about lifting up the voices and experiences of People of Color, by focusing on their encounters with systemic and racial trauma. 💜Jade serves as a medium for examining the critical intersections among trauma, race, and ethnicity. Additionally, the film emphasizes how institutional racism contributes to the ongoing cycles of trauma. 💜These films aren’t just powerful stories – they’re made to connect with the people working in schools, the justice system, and child welfare. We hope they inspire meaningful discussions and fresh perspectives. 💜 The goal? To create momentum and positive shifts in policies and practices. Together, we can make a difference. Every individual has the right to live freely, without fear, and in security. Unfortunately, many women and children in Türkiye face physical, psychological, or digital violence. Women and children are living in environments where they do not feel safe at home, in the streets, or even in schools. This situation must change! Every woman and child exposed to violence is a tragedy that darkens our future. We all have a role to play in building a safer society. Let’s not stay silent in the face of violence. let's work to create environments where children can grow up healthy and women can feel the security they deserve. Creating safe spaces, raising awareness through education, and supporting policies that prevent violence are some of our most important duties. Building a better future for women and children is possible with your support. Be their voice, stand with them! Remember, the safety of women and children is the future of us all.
