A: The many disciplines of Land Surveying are what I appreciate the most. Whether you look to the future or back in the history books, there is always something new to learn. A: I have the opportunity to add value to the team through my knowledge and experience, but even greater is the opportunity to learn and grow professionally from the experience and knowledge of the team that is already in place at Furtado. I had conversations with different members of Furtado and was impressed by their character and professionalism.  Q: If you weren’t a Surveyor for a living, what would you be doing? How are Dock Dogs like the Radical CPA? Hang with me here! And yes, I saw the Dock Dogs this weekend at the Door County fair! Just like the dockdogs at the county fair, who leap with fearless enthusiasm into new waters, my approach to accounting embraces the thrill of diving into the unknown. These dogs don't hesitate at the edge, and similarly, I advocate for leaping beyond traditional accounting practices to embrace innovation and technology. In the world of dockdogs, success isn't measured by staying dry but by making the biggest splash. In the accounting realm, I push for a shift from the dry, hourly billing to dynamic, value-based pricing. This transformation is akin to the excitement and unpredictability of a dockdog competition, where the traditional metrics of success are replaced with more vibrant, outcome-focused goals. Both dockdogs and the Radical CPA philosophy share a common thread: they challenge the status quo and bring a new level of engagement and excitement to their respective fields. By embracing change and innovation, we can transform the accounting profession into something as lively and engaging as a dockdog event.
