4 learnings from IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show 2024: 1. Robotic arms are no longer preprogrammed to move between fixed positions. Powered by machine vision and AI they automatically adapt and optimize the route to complete the job as quickly and accurately as possible, even when the target is moving. 2. The future of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is being composable. instead of a rigid, high-cost, high complexity MES, the future is in nimble MES that grow in capabilities to meet operators' needs as they drive continuous improvement. 3. Silos of systems and data are gone. Everything connects to everything by adopting a zero-trust based approach to connectivity 4. You can divide millennials to two subgroups: younger millennials who mistakenly think the robot below is Wall-E, and older millennials who correctly identify it as Johnny-5 (yes! it was the real one - not a replica)
