I'm deeply concerned about what is going on in my Home country DR congo 🇨🇩 As the crisis continues to unfold in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, my heart goes out to all those affected, especially the children whose lives have been deeply impacted by the ongoing turmoil. Reports of violence, displacement, and instability paint a harrowing picture of the situation on the ground. With families forced to flee their homes in search of safety, children are among the most vulnerable, facing unimaginable hardships and trauma. In times of crisis, it's crucial that we come together as a global community to support those in need. Organizations on the ground are working tirelessly to provide essential humanitarian aid, including food, shelter, and medical care, but the need is immense, and more support is urgently needed. As individuals, we can also make a difference by raising awareness, advocating for peace and stability, and supporting organizations that are providing assistance to those affected by the crisis. Let's stand in solidarity with the people of the Eastern DRC, especially the children, and work towards a future where every child can grow up safe, healthy, and with hope for a brighter tomorrow. #DRCcrisis #ChildrenInCrisis #HumanitarianAid

For tens of thousands of families living in shelters and plastic tents in #Gaza, bad weather means they now risk losing what little they have left. Without enough winter supplies, displaced families are struggling to protect themselves and their belongings from the rain. We urgently call for: 🔹 The immediate halt of the destruction of homes and shelters. 🔹 The opening of more crossings into Gaza to enable humanitarian agencies to deliver critical aid to thousands of families in need. 🔹 An immediate ceasefire to allow for the safe and sustained delivery of assistance and to give families a chance to rebuild their lives in safety.

LATEST: More than a year after the earthquake that devastated Syria and Türkiye, in Northwest Syria, more than 2.1 million people need shelter assistance and over 800,000 live in tents and makeshift shelters, 90% of which are more than a year old. The severe winter conditions present a significant humanitarian challenge in NWS, and it is often a challenge to provide dignified shelter solutions to those in need. The NW Syria Cross-Border Hub has produced an advocacy note on the impact of dignified shelters and to compare the situation with tented sites with the support of 19 cluster partners. 🔗 Read more about the findings, achievements, and challenges in the advocacy note attached to this post or on the GSC website: https://lnkd.in/er49C7Gw

The ongoing armed conflicts in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have forced countless families to flee their homes, creating an immense humanitarian crisis. As violence continues, the needs of displaced populations grow more dire by the day. The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is on the ground, providing crucial aid and support to those affected, but the scale of the crisis requires a collective effort. We urgently need more resources to deliver life-saving assistance, including shelter, food, medical care, and clean water. We call on all members of the humanitarian community, partners, and concerned individuals to join us in responding to this urgent need. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are most vulnerable. https://lnkd.in/d8MZN3rQ #HumanitarianAid #RedCross #RedCrescent #CRRDC #IFRC #HumanitarianCrisis_EasternDRC
