Our #mondaymotivation comes from our August FSS program graduates, Katherine and Brenda! Throughout the program, these graduates learned skills in personal finance, career development, and home ownership. Katherine gave the most moving speech about her journey at THA’s FSS graduation (shown below). Congrats, Brenda and Katherine! To learn more about our FSS program, visit https://lnkd.in/g6D3_-6r

🌟 Happy New Month! New Experiences 🌟 With the onset of a new month, let us now take on whatever tasks or challenges that come our way and make sure there is no hold back this time. The onset of a new month is the beginning of a new timeline where we get to tell our success story in powerful strokes of hard work, creativity and persistence. 💼 You may be preparing for new projects, new targets, new strategies, just know any progress going forward and even by one inch will take you toward the vision. May this month be an affirmation of your resolve, a snapshot of your aspiration, and a commemoration of your achievements. At Marvinside Chartered Accountant, the approach held is that moderate progress on the level and the quality of output on a permanent basis is a reasonable goal. This month should be an advancement of our profession with excellent performance. Let us raise our glasses in anticipation of making the month of September one of the most rewarding ones for us all! 🥂 #NewMonth #MarvinsideCharteredAccountant #ProfessionalGrowth #SuccessJourney

In November last year, I was humbled and honoured to learn that I had been awarded a Fellowship with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Last week, I attended a Gala dinner where I was formally presented with my Fellowship certificate. After thanking my family, my peers, my business partner and CA ANZ, I congratulated the 37 new Chartered Accountants and Accounting Technicians present at the event. I then had some messages for them that I think are appropriate to share here. Number one: Never stop growing. Keep expanding your knowledge. Seek out new skills and stay curious. Number two: No one succeeds alone. Teamwork is key. Excel at working with others towards a common goal. Number three: Integrity matters. Have a strong moral compass. Make decisions that align with your values. Number Four: Setbacks and mistakes happen. The key is to bounce back quickly. Learn from failures and come back stronger. Number Five: Above all, give back. When you're able to, help others. Mentor, volunteer, involve yourself with your community. Let me know if you need help with your career. I'd love to chat.

We all analyze our plans when we fail - What went wrong? Had I not worked hard enough? Where did I lacked? What to Improve further ? And the questions are endless............But But...........We never analyze our plans once we get pass........Why so?...........Isn't it important to remember how you achieved your goal What actually went right ? How much hard we worked? How we Overcome our weaknesses? And most importantly - Who were the people who actually supported you during the journey ? I feel these questions are equally important, Since the feeling of self appreciation and happiness are the best motivators in themselves. So to all my freshly qualified Chartered Accountant friends-- Irrespective of How much package you get in todays campus placement.....Be Proud of yourself and feel satisfied.......Since the race continues until we die #Lookback #Analysis #Beproud

A Letter to Young Accountants I remember when I first started off as a young accountant. The journey was far from easy, and there were times when I felt cheated and disheartened. However, each challenge I faced turned into a valuable experience that propelled me forward towards achieving my dreams. 🎯Embrace Challenges Challenges should not be seen as setbacks but as pathways to your destination. Every obstacle is an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop resilience. It’s through these experiences that we build the strength and knowledge to excel in our careers. 🎯Be Open to Learning Be open to learning and growth. The accounting field is constantly evolving, and staying curious and adaptable is key to staying ahead. Seek out mentors, embrace new technologies, and never stop honing your skills. 🎯Celebrate Progress As we wrap up the week and head into my birthday week, I reflect on my journey with gratitude. The ups and downs have shaped who I am today. I wish us all a joyous weekend ahead, filled with reflection and appreciation for how far we’ve come. To all the young accountants out there, keep pushing forward. Your hard work and dedication will pay off. Embrace every experience, learn from every challenge, and never lose sight of your dreams. Thank you Haoma Worgwu for the #20dayschallengewithhaoma 📷 #ASOROCK 2018 #YoungAccountants #CareerGrowth #Resilience #ContinuousLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment #WeekendReflection

Why are the older generations always harder working? Meet my friend Ian, whom I studied chartered accountancy with in the 80’s. He qualified #aca I didn’t. Ian has had a interesting, varied and successful career (mostly as a qualified accountant and Finance director) and it now retired. He doesn’t need to work, but has chosen to get up at 4.30am to deliver parcels for you for Xmas. He joined Royal navy at 18 as an electronic apprentice. After 4 years left to retrain as an accountant. Passed as an academic in 1992. Various jobs mainly in start ups or trouble shooting up to FD level. Moved into property investment analysis and acquisition for major property firm. When crash happened set up his own business with wife, firstly importing and distributing skincare from Germany then analysis machine from Holland. He took early retirement and did just 1 day a week for ex wife's business but got bored so just started driving for Argos part time 4 days a week morning shift 5 am till 12.30. Why do I think Gen Z wouldn’t adopt this approach, probably because there are so many of these type of jobs available?! My mum always believed her generation worked harder than mine and now we seem to have taken over. Maybe there is hope for Gen Z. #management #humanresources #careers #entrepreneurship #creativity
