📢 New Exciting Funding Opportunity Alert: CEF Transport – Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF) opens a new round! 📢 🕒 Running from 2024 to 2025, the 2nd round of CEF-T AFIF funding, managed by the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, presents three cut-off dates:  1️⃣ September 24, 2024 2️⃣ June 11, 2025 3️⃣ December 17, 2025 💰 A substantial budget of €1 billion is available, including allocations of €780 million for the 'General Envelope' and €220 million for the 'Cohesion Envelope' (for the 15 EU member states eligible for the Cohesion Fund support). 🔌 Focus areas include the infrastructure for electric charging stations, hydrogen refueling stations, and ammonia/methanol bunkering along the key EU's transport corridors. ✅ To be eligible, applicants must be legal entities (public or private bodies) established in one of the eligible countries, including EU Member States (containing overseas countries and territories (OCTs)) and third countries associated with the CEF Programme. 🔄 Notably, meeting the requirements is challenging, as grants must be combined with loans from financial institutions through 'blending', facilitated by 'Implementing Partners' like the European Investment Bank or 'Non-implementing Partners' such as commercial banks. 🌍 This initiative underscores a commitment to shaping a greener future for European transport, offering opportunities for advancement and sustainability. HS2, Propelling the UK into a New Era of High-Speed Rail 🚄 HS2, the UK's new high-speed line, promises to transform the UK's transport landscape. Linking London to the Midlands and the North of England, this ambitious project aims to: ⏱️ Reduce journey times 🚅 Increase rail capacity 💹 Stimulate the national economy 🌳 Offer zero-carbon journeys HS2 is also :  • Around 28,500 jobs supported  • 96% UK companies involved  • Environmental innovations (diesel-free worksites, reduced emissions, etc.).
