At this years #TACEquityDiversityInclusion and #WomeninTunnelling events we shared discussions focused around the importance of mentorship and allyship. I'm grateful for the opportunity to attend the TUNNELLING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA conference presenting a paper on «Multifaceted Risk Management Approach for Tunnelling Underneath Airport Runways: Owner Engineer Perspective » and also receiving as part of Hatch Tunnels team the prestigious Canadian Project of the Year Award (Over C$300 million)

We’re thrilled to announce that our Tunnels team has been recognized once again, receiving the prestigious Canadian Project of the Year Award (Over C$300 million) by the TUNNELLING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA (TAC). We received this award for the underground works of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) project.  This recognition highlights our exceptional engineering skill and innovative approach to underground construction. TUNNELLING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA 2024 conference was an excellent opportunity to meet tunnelling professionals. I also had the privilege of presenting our paper on Probabilistic Analysis of Soil Nail Walls using Monte Carlo Simulation. A special thanks to our tunnel team lead, Keivan Pak Iman, P. Eng (ON, BC) for his invaluable support and guidance to the #GHD tunnelling group.

Great experience presenting DEWALT concrete sensors at #TAC2024 Thanks to the TUNNELLING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA for a flawless organization! The workshops were enlightening for a first timer like myself coming from the concrete industry. The community is very generous in sharing their knowledge! Also appreciated the Young member's networking event, it was awesome to exchange with various players on their tunneling projects!

It was a pleasure connecting with familiar and new colleagues at this year's TAC2024 conference in Montreal. The future of tunnelling is bright! A few highlights included presenting papers on two of my projects including the Inner Harbour West Tunnel and the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant Outfall (ABTPO) Tunnel and celebrating Hatch's project award for the REM Project (Project of the Year >$300M). It was great meeting and connecting with Hatch's group of tunnelling and underground professionals in our Montreal office.
