It's a very happy 3rd work birthday to Tom Willis 🎉
Tom is celebrating his 3rd year with us and it's fair to say he's done and seen a lot more than most would in this timeframe!
He's embraced everything that has come his way, quickly showing himself as an emerging leader all whilst playing a pivotal role in the growth of our consulting arm of the business across our Private Equity clients. We look forward to seeing more of this to come!

Each month, we celebrate our work anniversaries through our Milestone Program, but rarely do we get to celebrate such a significant achievement as 30 years! On this day in 1994, our current CEO Keith Wolken hired Cecil Sloley. Since then, Cecil has managed countless transitions, accounts, programs, and employees at Service Management Systems. Though he has seen a lot of change over three decades, a few things remain the same – his embodiment of our 12 core values and “Whatever it Takes!” motto, his passion and commitment to seeing our company succeed, and his investment in his team and employees. We are honored to still have him as part of our Executive Leadership Team and wish him continued success throughout his career.

❓What things separate us from the pack❓
"We have a great team—obviously—with diverse personalities and work styles that enable our operation to succeed at anything and with anyone. What keeps me here, though, is a leadership team that respects my work style, encourages healthy work-life balance, helps enforce boundaries when needed, and treats me like a human adult instead of a revenue stream."
❓What has changed during your tenure❓
"Things move at a much faster pace. Order counts are higher, turn times shorter… When I started, we were still sending out hefty packages with paper copies of exception documents, and it was normal for a closer's office to have files stacked floor to ceiling."
❓What is a Big Victory you would be willing to share that you had a hand in? How did you and your team pull it off❓
"Honestly? Every day. There are no single victories that stand out to me because it's always just been par for the course that a challenge arises and we pull together to get it taken care of and come back and do it again the next day, whether the deal is $50k or $500MM. Chris, Alyssa, and I are pretty good at staying level-headed and good-humored, which is often victory enough."

Today we celebrated two team members 10 year anniversaries.
In today's dynamic business landscape, where change is constant and innovation drives progress, it's easy to get caught up in the allure of rapid turnover and constant churn. However, amidst the whirlwind of new hires and fresh perspectives, there lies a hidden gem that often goes unnoticed: tenure.
Tenure within a company is not merely a measure of how long an employee has been with an organization; it's a testament to loyalty, dedication, and a deep-rooted commitment to the company's mission and values. While the trend of job hopping may seem appealing on the surface, it's crucial to recognize the immense value that long-serving employees bring to the table.
Let's raise a toast to the tenured employees who continue to shape and enrich our organizations every day. Your contributions do not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the unwavering dedication and commitment you bring to the table. Here's to many more years of shared success and continued growth together!

Grateful for the Best Places to Work recognition for the FOURTH year in a row!
Highlighting two of our defined Core Behaviors I feel strongly lead to employees thriving day after day and year after year through the minutes to moments to milestones.
1- BUILD UP - We value leadership that equips others and want all employees to ask themselves daily how they can help increase the capacity of others.
2- UP A NOTCH- How am I setting the bar and improving personally and professionally? We desire to do excellent, bar-setting work because our colleagues, participants in the mission, corporate partners, volunteers, nonprofit and community partners, benefactors and the community are worth it!
Do good work and do it with excellence!
