🎨🔬 Bringing Science to Life! 🌟 🖼️🎬 I had a blast creating a graphical abstract that not only tells a scientific story but also comes to life in an animated slide for a presentation. 🔬💡 This project was a fusion of my scientific and creative knowledge, illustrating the potential of methylglyoxal scavengers to reverse resistance in breast cancer cells. 🩸🦠 🙏 Huge thanks to Akeila BELLAHCENE for trusting me with this important project. 🤝 🔬🎨 This project exemplifies the magic that happens when scientific and creative knowledge merge! 🌌📊 #SciArt #BreastCancerResearch #ScientificCreativity

"Glioblastoma is an extremely lethal brain tumor, with an almost 100% fatality rate. A single chemotherapy drug as part of the standard-of-care exists to treat patients, but it has limited efficiency. A new publication by Weifan Dong and colleagues report several significant discoveries that could have life-changing consequences for patients with glioblastoma." The annual Brain Star Awards are a partnership between CIHR-INMHA and the Canadian Association for Neuroscience that celebrate Canada's best in student and trainee neuroscience research. The 15 projects recognized in this year’s program involve high-impact discoveries addressing the full scope of CIHR-INMHA’s mandate. The 2024 competition will launch later this fall. Eligibility information: https://lnkd.in/gF4XMZTS We recently checked in with some of the past recipients to hear how their careers have progressed since they won the award.
