Leading growth in Indian Tourism | DPIIT - Invest India | Ex-EY, KPMG, CTS | 16 Year+ Exp | Tourism, IT, Media, CSR, Capacity Building, Healthcare, Livelihood, Education, MSME, Agri, Telecom
The Indian hospitality sector is in its golden age, and the figures paint a truly exhilarating picture. Homegrown giants like IHCL, Cygnett, and Lemon Tree are scaling new heights, reporting consecutive quarters of record-breaking performance. IHCL, the Taj's custodian, recently announced a stellar Q3 with a 15% YoY revenue surge and a staggering 18% YoY growth in EBITDA. This echoes the success stories of Cygnett (with over 15% increase ADR and RevPAR and 80% occupancy rates), Lemon Tree (with 19% increase revenue and 54% increase in EBITDA), or for that matter any other Indian brand. But India's story isn't just about domestic prowess. It's a land of immense opportunity, beckoning international players to explore its vibrant tourism landscape. Accor, a global hospitality leader, recently declared 2023 a record-setting year for its expansion in Asia, with India emerging as a star performer. They signed a whopping 66 hotels in South-east Asia, and 100 hotels in India by 2027, showcasing their immense faith in the Indian market. Marriott International is another major player joining the expansion bandwagon, announcing plans to add over 100 hotels across various brands in India by 2025-end. Similarly, Hilton, IHG etc. are actively pursuing growth strategies in the Indian market. This influx of international brands is a testament to the immense potential India holds. The country's rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and growing economy are creating a perfect storm for tourism growth. Invest India, the national promotion and facilitation agency, is playing a pivotal role in this exciting narrative. We not only reach out to international investors, helping them make informed decisions about investing in India, but also facilitate international operators who see India as their next big management destination. So, if you're an international hospitality chain looking to expand your footprint, India is the land of opportunity waiting to be explored. With its unmatched cultural tapestry, burgeoning travel sector, and supportive government initiatives, India promises an unforgettable journey for both businesses and travelers alike. Embrace the spirit of Indian hospitality, and join us in unlocking the door to a world of tourism excellence! #indianhospitality #HotelsInIndia #IncredibleIndia #IndianTourism #ChaloIndia

The Future of Hospitality: What’s NEXT? Delighted to have been part of the "What's NEXT in Hospitality" at the ULI (Urban Land Institute) evening hosted at Sofitel Mumbai! The atmosphere was buzzing with insight and innovation—exactly what you'd expect when someone like Rahul Pandit, President & Executive Director - Hospitality, @Valor Estate, is behind the scenes curating the event. Held in an intimate, elite drawing room setup, personally overseen by Manish Dayya, General Manager, Sofitel Mumbai BKC, it was a evening to remember. The panel lineup? Nothing short of exceptional! Anshu Sarin, Chief Executive, 91Springboard; Kahraman Yigit, Co-Founder & CEO, Olive Living; and Tejas Parulekar, Founder, SaffronStays were on point, with the conversation brilliantly guided by Jaideep Dang , Managing Director, Hotels & Hospitality, India JLL . So, what's NEXT? Rahul Pandit gave us a glimpse into the future: "India’s airlift will grow 200% in 5 years, adding 1,400 aircraft to the existing 771. This portends sustainable RevPARs for Hospitality. " He added, “ 34% of India is in its cities, which will be 50% by 2047. Per capita, $2,600 will reach $18,000 by then. These macros of uprooted urbanisation and increased income will boost pilgrimage and leisure breaks. .” And that’s not all: "Elections in 40 countries this year will unlock business expansion CapEx. This will spur inbound travel, and yield strong MICE demand FY27 onwards." Exciting times ahead for India NEXT in hospitality and tourism! #Hospitality #MICE #tourism

India is having a moment. With the India outbound traveler poised to become the biggest global force in coming years, and major global brands racing to take part in India’s strong domestic market, there is no better time to host an event that seeks to shape the future of travel. Skift India Summit will encompass big-picture discussions around three different pillars: the outbound Indian traveler moving confidently around the world; the complete reset and growth of the domestic market post-pandemic; and the still sluggish-but-full-of-potential inbound tourist market to India. This isn’t your typical trade conference. Our events are ideas-driven, and the lineup of CEOs and leaders on stage are there to share their visions of the travel industry’s future and the opportunities India presents on a global scale.

Ethical imperative of sustainability in India's hospitality sector The ethical imperative of sustainability is driving transformative change in India's hospitality sector. Hotels and resorts that use sustainable practices can reduce their environmental impact, help local communities, and contribute to the country's socioeconomic development. There is an incremental value in imbibing sustainability for the business in the long run as the guest perception helps in growth of the business. As sustainability becomes more integrated into the industry's culture, India's hospitality sector has the opportunity to lead by example and create new global benchmarks for responsible tourism. #HRAWI #hospitalityindustry #hotelassociation #travelandtourism #hospitalityleaders #hoteliers #hospitalityevents #hospitalitynews #hotelmarketing #hotrelcareers #hoteltrends #restaurantnews #sustainability #gogreen #ecofriendly
