What is more important to you, the #salary or the #role? For me, it's a company's core values. One reason Accenture is one of my favorite companies is its six core values #stewardship, #ExcellenceInDelivery, #ClientValueCreation, #OneGlobalNetwork, #RespectForTheIndividual, and #Integrity. While I absolutely love all these values, "stewardship" is the one that resonates with me the most. This is because, to me, a company is more than just money or profit; it also has social responsibility. And that's what Accenture has been doing. Accenture's commitment to stewardship spans diverse sectors, including #education, #healthcare, #environment, social services, and more. As I am also the founder of a non-profit organization, ConnectJapan which helps rural and regional students pursue higher education, I resonate very closely with the initiatives Accenture has taken, especially in the education sector. Through initiatives like the 'Digital Village Program,' Accenture establishes digital hubs in rural areas, and the 'Connectivity for All' initiative aims at expanding internet access. Additionally, the ‘Tech for All’ initiative provides underserved communities with access to affordable technology devices. Accenture's support for education also extends to programs like hosting summer immersion programs for nonprofits like ‘Girls Who Code’ and its "Skills to Succeed" initiative, which equips individuals with skills for employment. These efforts have earned Accenture recognition, such as its inclusion in the Ethisphere Institute's "World's Most Ethical Companies" list in 2008 and its top ranking in Barron's "Most Sustainable International Companies" in 2019. Therefore, understanding a company's core values before applying ensures alignment with its culture, facilitates ethical decision-making, and enhances your career satisfaction and growth opportunities. #SalaryVsRole #CompanyValues #Accenture #CoreValues #SocialResponsibility #Nonprofit #CSR #Sustainability #EducationForAll #TechForGood #DigitalInclusion #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #EthicalBusiness #CorporateCulture #ImpactfulWork #LinkedIn #JobSearch #CareerOpportunities #HiringNow #SocialImpact #MakingADifference #GlobalImpact #ProfessionalValues #WorkCulture #CorporateResponsibility #EthicalLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #CommunityEngagement #SocialChange #EnvironmentalSustainability #CorporateEthics #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #SocialJustice #EqualityAndInclusion #Empowerment #EducationEquality #DigitalLiteracy #AccentureLife #AccentureCulture #AccentureProud #AccentureFamily #AccentureCareers #AccentureOpportunities #AccentureJobs #AccentureValues #AccentureImpact #AccentureCSR #AccentureInnovation Accenture Japan Accenture Security

🌟Reflecting on My Journey with Accenture and the Value of Alumni Programmes 🌟 I am proud to have spent 19 years of my corporate career with Accenture South Africa living in 2 cities, being part of and leading teams across the US, AUS, EUR, Africa and the Middle East. I continue to be a Brand Ambassador for Accenture and proudly remain a member of the amazing Accenture Alumni Programme. This keeps me connected with a strong network of professionals, with regular invitations to enriching Alumni events. A standout memory is Accenture South Africa's virtual 50th year celebration in South Africa, with a celebratory gift couriered to me. Today I was able to attend a virtual Alumni event with Nellie Borrero who is the Accenture Global Inclusion and Diversity Lead (we met in Johannesburg a few years ago when Nellie visited South Africa), about her book "Unwavering" - a candid account of the tough conversations and bold actions needed to create an environment where inclusion thrives. These engagements continually reinforce my loyalty to the Accenture brand and highlight the immense value of staying connected. Organizations so often underestimate the value of having a successful Alumni Programme. The "grass isn't always greener on the other side". A diversified approach to sourcing talent with Alumni as a key channel will attract former talented employees back to the fold. Some of the benefits of an Alumni Programme: 💡Talent Pool: Maintain a network of skilled professionals ready to return to your organisation 💡Brand Ambassadors: Alumni can promote your brand positively in the market 💡Networking: Facilitate connections that can lead to new opportunities and partnerships 💡Knowledge Sharing: Alumni bring fresh perspectives and new skills back to the organization 💡Loyalty and Engagement: Strengthen ties and boost morale among current employees At Green Talent Advisory, we recognize the unparalleled value of a thriving Alumni Programme. Let us help you build and sustain a successful network of talent that continuously enriches your organization. #AlumniProgrammes #EmployeeEngagement #Networking #TalentPool #CorporateCulture

5 inspirational thoughts from my friend Emma Mclean on #workingparents #parentsatwork
Founder, Works for Everyone | Executive Coach | NZ's Working Parent Expert | Swiftie | Mum of 3 Teenagers | Host of "How To Smash the Motherhood Penalty" podcast | Creator of NZ's Part Time Power List
International Women's Day continues for me! I was lucky enough to be invited to Accenture UK's IWD event today at The Roundhouse, Chalk Farm in London. 20 years ago I worked for Accenture so it was a little like back to the future for me. And I still knew some people there! Most of all it was fabulous to spend the day with Accenture's Zoë Kibbey and Sevasti Wong, both of whom I count as exceptional leaders making a difference as well as my special friends. Five takeaways from me that I wanted to share: 1) Today we are living in a system that does not work for all. The opportunity with AI and the tipping point of human evolution is that we can write the source code for the future. 2) Find people that believe in you. 3) Get used to saying no. You can do anything, not everything. 4) The power of a second innings. In your second innings you will bat with more experience, have lost more than you have won and will be batting for those that are to come after you. 5) Be the bird that sings in the darkness because they can sense that the dawn is coming. Strength comes from the collective. Amazing day and feeling very grateful to be taking these learnings and so much more back to NZ and to my clients. #workingparents #parentsatwork #worksforeveryone #IWD2024

🌟 Exciting News Alert! 🌟 Yesterday marked a monumental day as we joined forces with Accenture to tackle the ever-important issue of social mobility. 🚀 The response was phenomenal, with a diverse crowd from seasoned professionals to dynamic undergraduates joining the movement! 🙌 A heartfelt THANK YOU to every one of you who brought your energy and insights to our sessions. Your participation in the discussions and exercises was a real game-changer. 💪 🔊 Over the past three months, we've engaged with over 150 community members, delving deep into the hurdles that obstruct their dreams and social advancement. The stories shared revealed a common thread of challenges, which we at BMT are committed to addressing. 🛠 Introducing "Your Journey" – our newly developed framework, designed to dissect these challenges and chart a course towards achieving personal goals. This tool is key to unlocking your vision and purpose, guiding you to realise it. During the workshop, this framework transformed theory into action, as participants applied "Your Journey" to map out their obstacles and devise strategies for overcoming them. The power of sharing and feedback transformed the room into a cauldron of support and inspiration. 💡✨ But the highlight? Witnessing the magic of community support. The eagerness to lift each other shone through, illuminating the true essence of social mobility: it's not solely about advancing our journey but also paving the way for others at the crossroads. 🤝 Together, we're not just moving forward; we're uplifting everyone in our path. Let's continue to build bridges, share our stories, and create a ripple effect of positive change. 🌊 Finally, BMT would like to thank Annam K. and Waleed Khan for organising this event. We also would like to extend our regards to Bally Chahal and Sandip Bulsara who shared their inspirational journeys and gave valuable insights to our community. #SocialMobility #Partnership #CommunityPower #YourJourney #Empowerment #Innovation #TogetherWeCan

CONVERSATION WITH ACCENTURE MAURITIUS MANAGING DIRECTOR SHALINI JUGESSUR Mrs Shalini Jugessur is the Managing Director of Accenture Mauritius, from where she also manages the teams in France, Morocco, and Vietnam. She believes Mauritius possesses the potential to develop into a major Tech Hub. In that regard, Mauritius must expand the footprint of multinational tech companies by showcasing more its value-addition capabilities within the tech ecosystem. Indeed, Mauritius has come a long way since its humble beginnings as an exotic spot for IT-Enabled Services (#ITES). Now, the #ICT-#BPO sector in Mauritius not only does the back-end, but also handles the front-end; and can actually deliver end-to-end technological solutions.

If you’re looking for a story to improve your mood, here is one. Earlier this month I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Marine Poylo, Strategy Manager at Accenture in Switzerland. What Marine and her team created is remarkable: a program called EMBARK, whose purpose is to attract, recruit and upskill experienced women as they return to the workforce after a career break. Attitudes to career breaks vary, and while some happen by choice, others are forced upon you. In my case, the moment my little son got really unwell, all hell broke loose. My ability to work was quickly reduced to zero and remained at that level for many months. Parents of children who are medically complex will relate to this a lot, and they’ll probably have a little cry (like I did), hearing that organisations like Accenture not only accept a career break on your CV, but make it a requirement to join a programme like EMBARK. Marine, thank you for sharing your story and spreading awareness of EMBARK. Programmes like this make the world a better place. And if you're reading this and thinking EMBARK could help an experienced woman in your network, please share this post - you never know who may see this as a golden opportunity. #GenderBias #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #Women #Leadership #FemaleLeaders #CareerBreak #Consulting
