In June one of our strategic advisors took part in the Shitbox Rally, an event to raise money for the Cancer Council Australia. Patrick Vartuli and his co-driver joined over 200 other teams in driving a car worth less than $1500 from Melbourne to Alice Springs, navigating many unsealed roads and camping each night in remote towns. UnicornX were proud to sponsor Patrick in his journey and contribute to the fight against cancer, with the Shitbox Rally raising over $48m for cancer research since it was first held in 2009. “Many thanks to UnicornX for contributing to the fight against cancer and helping my team participate in the rally,” said Patrick. “The first few nights were gruelling as we camped in sub-zero temperatures but as the rally progressed further north the weather improved which was a pleasant change. Most of the towns we visited had under 100 residents and it was great to meet the locals and see parts of Australia many people don’t get to experience. Thanks to Graham and the team at UnicornX for helping my team reach our fundraising goal and be able to participate in such a great event." UnicornX were delighted to sponsor Patrick for such a worthwhile cause that helps so many people and their families often at their worst times. #cancer #help #charity #shitbox #rally #adventure #challenge #achieve

Buckle Up for the Shitbox Rally (This Isn't Your Typical LinkedIn Post but who doesn't love a tax-deduction)! Let's be honest I don't normally post here about non-work related stuff and LinkedIn usually isn't the place for outback adventures and questionable vehicles, but here we are! Sal and I are undertaking the legendary Shitbox Rally this Winter. This epic challenge has us navigating the Australian terrain from Melbourne to Alice Springs – all in a glorious (questionable?) $1,500 "shitbox." There's more to the Shitbox Rally than just a quirky road trip. It's about raising crucial funds for the Cancer Council, Australia's largest community-led cancer fundraiser. Their Winter 2024 target alone is a staggering $2 million, and we're proud to be a part of it! Cancer touches far too many lives, and we believe in supporting research and critical services. ️ Each team needs to hit a minimum fundraising goal which we've already covered ourselves! Additionally, Cboe Australia through its charitable matching program has matched my personal contributions, so all round we are off to a great result. This means every single donation you make goes directly towards making a difference for the Cancer Council. Bonus: All donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible! Let's turn this outback adventure into a force for good. Consider donating to our team/Cancer Council and joining us on this crazy journey! https://lnkd.in/g9Z-jZ4f #ShitboxRally #CancerCouncil #DazeofThunder #OutbackAdventure #MakingADifference #nottaxadvice

🌟 Exciting News & A Call for Support! 🌟 After a refreshing family holiday where I focused on connecting my kids with their relatives, I’m back on LinkedIn with a purpose-driven challenge. At The Transformation Group, we’re fortunate to align our professional values with meaningful causes. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be supporting our primary charity partner, Tour de Cure Australia, by taking on a personal challenge: running 50km to raise funds for cancer research with Suncorp Group the sponsor of the event. Having recently completed a 450km cycling challenge, this run feels like a different kind of uphill battle without the luxury of training. The cause hits close to home as my wife’s family has recently faced a heartbreaking loss due to cancer. This run is dedicated to all the families affected by this disease, and I’m committed to giving it my best shot despite my fears of injury (currently dealing with two strained calf muscles so can't run more than 8k). Here’s where I’d deeply appreciate your support: Donations: Every contribution helps us get closer to a cure. Training Tips: With only 2 weeks to prepare, any advice on running, nutrition, or injury prevention would be incredibly valuable. Moral Support: Just knowing you’re cheering me on would mean the world! Feel free to contribute or share your insights via the link below. Let’s come together to make a difference! https://lnkd.in/gRajRPQ2 - team of 1 Thank you for your support and encouragement! #CharityChallenge #CancerResearch #RunningForACause #SupportAndDonate #MakeADifference

✨ Help Us Build a Ninja Warrior Park in Honor of Eva Plimmer! ✨ Our dear friends, the Plimmers, have been a part of our lives for the past 8 years. We've had the privilege of serving alongside them at church and growing together in faith and friendship. Recently, their courageous daughter, Eva Plimmer, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Her faith, strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit have been a true inspiration to all around her. One of Eva's dreams is to build a Ninja Warrior-style park here in Meridian, Idaho. This will be a place that will promote physical fitness, personal growth, and bring joy to our community. The park will be a lasting tribute to Eva’s strength and determination; a space where our community can come together and celebrate life. To raise money for this park, a GoFundMe campaign has been established to raise $337,000 for the construction of the park, and we need your help to make this vision a reality. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward building this park and supporting Eva and her family. 💙 Please consider donating here: https://lnkd.in/gspwB8aK 💙 Your prayers, support, and shares are deeply appreciated. **We have filed with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) and are awaiting a determination to finalize this process. If approved, all contributions (retroactive to August 27) will be tax deductible. Any amount you are able to contribute will go directly to the construction of this park and towards the dream that Eva has of having a Ninja Warrior Park in her hometown!** Let’s come together as a community to show our love for Eva and the Plimmer family and bring this Ninja Warrior Park from a dream, into reality! 🙏💪 #SupportEva #NinjaWarriorPark #TreasureValley #DonateNow

Childhood cancer sucks. It can be really hard to know how to help. Our founder Mitch made it easy when he made the pinky promise years ago: help families with everyday expenses so they can focus on what matters most - their child. There are so many ways you can help outside of a donation. Here are four more: 5. Employee Giving. Check your company for a match to help twice as many families! 6. Grants. Some companies offer grants to non-profits. Consider nominating Pinky Swear. 7. United Way. Designate Pinky Swear as your charity of choice! 8. Donor Advised Funds. Support kids with cancer through yours today! No matter how you give or how much you give, you are helping kids with cancer and their families. What are your company's #CoreValues? Are any of them #Altruism? If so, giving back is essential to its ethos and therefore it must always be looking for opportunities to lift up and support people and their efforts through corporate giving. If that sounds like your company, I've got the perfect opportunity for you. Meet Lucas Smith. Lucas was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer just three short months ago and he's not even 40. Lucas lives in Fort Myers, FL, and is entirely uninsured. Therefore, in order to pay for treatments, including the chemotherapy he started this week, he is in need of big donations in a big way. The kind of donations that only corporations with big pockets can provide. And, although individual donations have started pouring in, he still has a long way to go to get his needs covered. If you and/or your company would like to donate to Lucas's #GoFundMe, please find the link below. There you'll learn more information about him, his needs, the current state of his health, and how dire this need is. Please be sure to watch the video from Lucas, as well. Remember that #corporategiving to GoFundMe may be a tax write-off, depending on where you're headquartered, and therefore could fit perfectly into your corporation's annual giving plan. I implore you to consider his cause and I thank you for your time. Be well and Let's Help Lucas Live. https://lnkd.in/eQzYH2HC

Do you know about CYB's point of donation software platform Give A Little? It helps charities make the transition to cashless fundraising and is used by the likes of Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Oxfam and The Church of England. Great work Patrick Vartuli, looks like you had a great time while raising valuable funds for Cancer Council Australia
