I absolutely HATE blood... But I started a phlebotomy company. ⬇️ I used to be the type of person who would faint at the sight of a needle. Fast forward a few years, and I'm the founder of a thriving medical logistics and healthcare provider specialising in phlebotomy services... And a trained phlebotomist myself! It all started with a personal experience that left my family feeling helpless and vulnerable. My wife was pregnant with our first child and needed a medical professional to come to our home and perform some blood tests, due to some complications. Unfortunately, the nurse never showed up - leaving us terrified and unsure what to do next. This experience made me realise that there had to be others going through the same thing; vulnerable individuals who needed trained professionals to come to their homes and perform the necessary health tests they needed. This happened in 2018, and in just five short years (and a pandemic later!), my team and I have worked hard to become one of the best phlebotomy service providers in London. I took on phlebotomy training myself, and now I'm proud to say that I have helped countless individuals receive the care they need, all while overcoming my fear of blood. But it’s funny, the moment I step into the OR, the joy comes flooding back and the chaos of overseeing a Perioperative department fades into the background. How can anything else matter when you are the thread that connects another human to life? OR Nursing is incomparable—it's a realm unlike any other specialty. It demands technical precision, presents unthinkable challenges, is highly intense, and requires physical stamina. Quick thinking and innovative problem-solving are essential, given the limited time available to connect with patients. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am the thread. WE are the thread.
