The focus of Dr. Saleh’s Leadership & Organization Bootcamp session this weekend was Value Stream Mapping. Mapping is a critical component to identifying areas of improvement within your business. Making sure you scope it correctly is important to the success of your mapping. You need enough focus, but also need to stay out of the weeds. There are 4 different levels of Value Streams and using this as your guide will help you map your product family correctly. Here are some examples of the 4 different levels of Value Streams you can look at, through a healthcare lens: ❌Multi-Enterprise, Multi-function: Hospital, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, EHR, Insurance Companies ❓Single Enterprise, Multi-function: Cardiac Patient through their continuum of care: ED, Cath Lab, Surgery, Inpt Floor, Outpatient Care, Testing, Cardiac Rehab. All of the services that provide care to a specific patient. ✅Single Function: Focused on one specific interaction, Outpatient Medical Office Visit. ❌Activity: Vital Signs: blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, etc. The most productive is single function. Single enterprise, multi-function, is a maybe, this can be too large of a scope. The least productive are multi-enterprise, multi-function (too broad) and activity (too detailed). #DrSalehBootcamp #leadership #healthcare #organizationdesign #themplusgroup Mohamed Saleh, Ph.D. Ibrahim Saleh, Ph.D. Ahmed Redwan Jannalyn Lawrence Waad Tarman Sandy Bulgia John Turner 🇺🇸 🇺🇦 Karissa Smart Ahmed Elbermawy,CSSBB,PMP

💻 Surgical procedure set rationalisation for Net Zero, a CSH Surgical Care Sustainability Network event 📅 Thu 12 Oct 2023 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM BST 🌍 Online, Zoom https://lnkd.in/eaXzbuMC The ‘Delivering a Net Zero National Health Service’ report set out a challenging target to reach a Net Zero NHS by 2045, including all emissions from its supply chain. The operating theatre offers substantial opportunities to streamline the use and efficiency of resources. While there is encouraging progress in moving towards the adoption of reusable consumables and devices, the environmental hotspot of reprocessed instruments lies in the decontamination cycle. Surgical procedure sets are often added to over time without due reflection, and there is evidence that >75% of instruments may remain unused per procedure, which results in unnecessary washing and sterilisation of large volumes of items. Surgical set rationalisation has been identified as a key intervention by the Royal College of Surgeons’ (RCS) Intercollegiate Green Theatre Checklist. NHS England and the Innovation Agency (Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast) have worked with Leeds University Teaching Hospitals to develop and outline a reproducible process by which hospitals can identify and action surgical set streamlining opportunities. In this webinar, you will have the opportunity to hear about the development of the process from NHS England, how it played out on the ground from the surgical team at Leeds, and the evaluation of the exercise from our AHSN partners. By following a data-driven approach to identify inefficiencies in usage and engaging key stakeholders to collaboratively construct better-designed surgical sets, substantial environmental and cost savings can be achieved with no compromise to patient safety or buy-in from clinical teams. Join us to hear talks from: 💚 Nicole Fletcher, Sustainable Procurement Lead, Net Zero and Sustainable Procurement Team, NHSE 💚 Dr Agnes Henson, Net Zero and Sustainable Procurement, Senior Analyst, Net Zero and Sustainable Procurement Team, NHSE 💚Mr Adam Peckham-Cooper, Consultant Emergency General Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust 💚 Laura Boland, Head of Innovation Pipeline, Evaluation & Insights, Innovation Agency - Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast #networking #sustainablehealtcare #netzero #surgery

How to Choose A Vein Doctor Selecting the right physician for your vein treatment is crucial, whether it's for medical reasons or enhancing your appearance. Here are key factors to consider when making this important decision: Specialization in Vascular Conditions: Opt for a doctor with extensive experience in treating various vein and vascular conditions. You want someone who specializes in this field, not just someone who dabbles in it. Their expertise ensures accurate diagnosis and effective treatment options. Fellowship Training: Look for a doctor with fellowship training in vascular disease. This additional rigorous training equips them with comprehensive knowledge and skills, particularly crucial for intricate procedures involving veins. Board Certification: Ensure the doctor is board certified. This certification signifies their commitment to maintaining high standards of practice and ongoing education in their specialty. Accredited Facility: Check if the vein clinic and vascular diagnostic lab are accredited. Accreditation guarantees the quality of equipment and the expertise of personnel, ensuring you receive top-notch care. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT): Confirm if ultrasound diagnosis is performed by a Registered Vascular Technologist. This ensures accurate imaging and diagnosis, essential for effective treatment planning. Comfort Level: Trust your instincts. It's crucial to feel comfortable with your doctor and the facility. Are they welcoming and equipped with state-of-the-art technology? Is there reliable after-hours support if needed? Choosing the right vein doctor is about more than just credentials—it's about finding a provider you trust with your health and well-being. Take your time, ask questions, and prioritize your comfort and confidence throughout the process. Your veins deserve the best care! #veindoctor #veinspecialist #veinspecialists #sandiegoveindoctor #vistaveinclinic #lajollaveinclinic #veinclinic #veinandvascularsurgeon #veinandvascularhealth #veinspecialistssandiego #venousdiseasespecialist #sandiego

I am thrilled to be appointed Chief Medical Officer at Qorvis, leveraging my expertise as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to contribute to an organization that is both highly established and forward thinking. In and out of the operating room, I have witnessed the power of effective communications while managing crises to enhance safety and improve patient outcomes.
