https://lnkd.in/eMtV9TtY Many of Pennsylvania's community colleges continue to take costly measures to prevent the delay in state funding from impacting students and employees, including drawing on limited reserves or expensive lines of credit. But time will run out. Community colleges remain the only public higher education institutions in Pennsylvania still awaiting funds authorized in the state's 2023-24 budget.-- funds that over 245,000 students are counting on for their education. Tell Your State Lawmakers Not to Leave Harrisburg Without Ending the Delay in State Funding for Pennsylvania's Community Colleges

Get to know our Deputy City Manager, Tim Hacker! Q: Tell us something about yourself that may surprise us. A: I essentially have the same group of nine to 12 friends, some of whom I have known since kindergarten, but all of them since grade school. We still text and talk on the phone regularly and usually get together as a group annually to celebrate the lives of friends that have passed and raise money for a scholarship for two to four Humboldt High students who are attending Iowa State University. Q: What would you do for a career if you weren't doing your current one? A: Most likely a tenured professor in the field of public administration and organizational health. However, being a drummer for a rock band would be a dream if I only had any drumming skills! Q: What is your favorite movie or line from a movie? A: So, so, so many; [I'm a] huge Coen Brothers fan, so "Raising Arizona" is an absolute go-to. However, "Uncle Buck" might be my favorite, as it conjures up so many emotions, and John Candy as Uncle Buck is a perfect performance.
