But here's the kicker: apart from this hefty degree requirement, the role involves "configuring new Mac and Windows computers," "installing and tailoring software applications," and "promptly managing IT support tickets." Essential duties that many skilled technicians can perform with their eyes closed. While I understand the value of a solid educational background, isn't it a bit much to ask for that, though crucial, are pretty much technician-level?
