Forecasting of global markets predict a WHOPPING value of 24 BILLION U.S dollars using XAI What is XAI? Imagine a black box that produces amazing results, but you have no idea how it does it. This is often the case with traditional AI models. XAI aims to open that black box, providing insights into how AI models arrive at their decisions. This helps build trust, identify potential biases, and improve overall model performance. 1. Personalised pricing: Explainable pricing models could show customers how factors like demand, competition, and individual purchase history influence pricing. This improves trust and transparency, potentially reducing buyer friction. 2. Targeted advertising: Imagine ads explained! XAI could reveal which user characteristics and behaviours trigger ad recommendations, empowering users to refine their ad experience and increasing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. 3. Algorithmic bias detection: XAI tools could scan e-commerce algorithms for unintentional biases based on factors like race, gender, or location. This proactive approach ensures fairness and helps avoid discriminatory outcomes for users. XAI is still evolving, but its potential to improve trust, fairness, and effectiveness in e-commerce is undeniable. As this technology advances, we can expect more AI models that provide valuable insights and ultimately enhance the online shopping experience for everyone. I'm super excited to announce a new feature to improve ecommerce conversion: Gleen AI Automated Needs-Based Assessments & Recommendations. It's a mouthful, so we're calling them Gleen ANBARs for short. So what is an ANBAR? Online merchants have long resorted to buying guides or quizzes to improve shopper engagement, better understand shoppers' needs, enhance the relevance of products/services shown the shoppers, and improve conversion. These buying guides & quizzes often: - Require a lot of time and effort to create and maintain - Are separate, siloed user experiences - Don't take into consideration what's already known about the shopper and their needs Introducing Gleen AI Automated Needs-Based Assessments & Recommendations. With ANBARs, Gleen AI automatically: - Crawls your online store - Develops questions to determine the needs of shoppers - Incorporates existing context/knowledge into the needs assessment -- e.g., if a shopper asks, "What mattresses do you have for hot sleepers?", Gleen AI will NOT ask "Are you a hot or cold sleeper?" - Automatically creates a list of relevant products based on the shoppers needs No manual creation or maintenance of a quiz or buying guide. All automated with AI, all the time. Sound too good to be true? Join us for a live demo next Thursday at 10 AM: https://hubs.li/Q02vtk0Z0 ANBARs: Odd acronym. But extremely cool feature. #ecommerce #generativeAI #cx

When the AI gets its wrong… This is not me trying to leverage clicks or taps by simply throwing “AI” into the mix! Over the last 6 months we’ve seen a number of clients coming to us that had started to see the performance in their PPC channel start to suffer and a common trend we found in those that we met was where PMax campaigns had been left to run relatively un-checked and had led to the performance issues they were experiencing. Of course, AI has a place in our sector, we’re already seeing the gains that can be made by leveraging it in the right way, however, to echo much of what others are saying in other corners of the industry, the human touch is still so important – you can’t leave the AI completely alone! Director of Advertising Platform Development @ Megamarket. Driving seller diversity in Russian ecommerce. If you have a sense of humor and enjoy racing and fast driving, we'll definitely get along
Online shops and marketplaces have become an extension of social media, which can sometimes be problematic. According to "The Empowered Consumer" research by Accenture, which was shared on Hospital Technology, 19,000 consumers across 12 countries have experienced this. 73% of consumers are feeling information overload because of the variety of products, and 75% feel bombarded by a lot of advertising. The result? 74% of purchases were abandoned in the last three months of 2023. Additionally, 71% of buyers express that they have to spend more effort to make a final decision. 41% think it has become harder, and only 30% didn’t see changes. I often talk about how more options are important and how promotional tools can leverage sellers' revenues. But sellers and online shop owners need to take care of the customer experience in this way as well. Sometimes long descriptions or too short ones can make people even more indecisive. I believe there should be a balance. As HT emphasizes, this balance can be brought with generative AI. It can streamline decision-making and enhance consumer engagement, as 51% of consumers are open to using conversational AI for product research and purchases. #ai #generativeai
