There are several main drivers to why "Hospital at Home" is being adopted; improved clinical outcomes and cost savings that fuel growth. There are many more specifics but this listing from Beckers on the expense of Inpatient Days should be concern for the sustainability of doing things as we always have. According to the American Hospital Association, by April 2024, CMS had authorized more than 320 hospitals across 133 health systems in 37 states to offer acute hospital care at home, and those numbers are climbing. VIDEO. I watch a number of videos of various Winnipeg, Manitoba, hospitals, and I learn about healthcare approaches in the province. How over the 2 past centuries the merger of 3 hospitals into Winnipeg's biggest hospital, the Winnipeg Health Science Centre, HSC for short. The Women's hospital, completely in glass so that there is a feeling of connection to the outside and the community. The biggest palliative centre in another hospital, the fireworks displays on New Year's by the Riverside Hospital, with citizens coming to see it and causing traffic lines. It is very interesting learning about hospitals across Canada in the different provinces and the different approaches and philosophies that each hospital has which is represented in the design of the hospital.

More than 900 people were classed as 'medically fit for discharge' from hospital as of January 17, the latest data available from NHS Greater Manchester. Imagine how many people are ready for discharge across the whole country. 🏥 I am working with providers to provide safe homes for people ready for discharge. One lady we are working to help has been ready for discharge from hospital for over a year.
