📢 [ZERO-RATING]: You asked and we answered! FAQ 1: What is zero-rating and why is it important? 🌐 Zero-rating in this context means making the content of public benefit organisations (PBOs) accessible for free on mobile networks, ensuring that the most disadvantaged can access education, healthcare and resources. FAQ 2: What is the Social Innovation Register (SIR)? 🚀 For the first, South Africa now has a registry of public benefit organisations eligible for zero-rating, making it even easier for mobile network operators to zero-rate the mobile content of these organisations. FAQ 3: Will registering on the SIR get my PBO zero-rated? 📁 Not yet. DGMT will add your PBO to the list of registered PBOs to present to MNOs. 團結香港基金 Our Hong Kong Foundation(OHKF) launched its latest policy advocacy report entitled Adding Life to Years: Comprehensive End-of-Life Care for All on 9 Apr. The report highlighted that while Hong Kong's Advance Decision on Life-sustaining Treatment Bill was commendable in promoting end-of-life care (EoLC), this bill alone might not be sufficient to address the full range of care needs. Discussions on EoLC should not be limited to the last 6 to 12 months of one's life but should be a topic that can be discussed by citizens of all ages. Services should also be expanded beyond medical care to encompass the medical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of citizens in their final stage of life, ensuring holistic care.   Dicky Chow, Head of Healthcare & Social Innovation, OHKF, pointed out that Advance Care Planning (ACP) and EoLC were of complementary relationship. Our Commissioner Sharyn O’Neill PSM FIPAA spoke at yesterday's Institute of Public Administration Australia WA (IPAA WA) Future ready: A Focus on Agency Capability Reviews seminar. The session highlighted the transformative journey of the sector through the Agency Capability Review Program and reviews completed to date. “For the first time, we have set a standard for what constitutes a high performing agency,” the Commissioner said. She also emphasised the need for public sector agencies to expect and be ready for rapid change created by 4 key shifts – changing public expectations, technology advancements, societal and geopolitical shifts, and the changing nature of work. The seminar included keynotes and conversations with program leaders, reviewers and leaders of reviewed agencies revealing best practices and lessons learned.
