Big thank you to Prof Amrita V Subramanian, Ph.D. for taking us on a 3 week Leadership Journey. Also thanks to my fellow learners who shared their views and experiences. 🙂 Sharing my key reflections and learnings as an individual, leader, follower, and member of family and community.   As an Individual. I am now more aware about meta cognition (learning through experience), different levels of attention, observation, self-awareness, self-management. I know now when to trust and be trusted and work together in a team to reach the set goals. Self-management and Continuously Learning are two aspects i take with me to become a better individual as change starts from within. As a Leader. I know the triangle of trust, credibility, capability, caring. Where lack of caring & empathy can be a deal breaker for the team. The main learning for me is that as a leader we need to create an environment where individuals can flourish. (as behavior is f (P, E) ^ (n) 😊 . For this open communication, Integrity, Respect and Relationship building is key to build a Shared Leadership culture to make better and collective decisions. As a Follower. I learnt that I need to trust and empower others to take the lead for a collaborative and collective growth. While following I allow myself to look at the situation from a new perspective and thereby boosting my learning and innovation. As a Member of Family and Community. All aspects I learnt as an individual and leader or follower contribute directly to my environment, family, and community. By Active listening, empathy, empowering others, leading by example and supporting others together we create an environment of trust, positivity and greater good for all.

Feeling incredibly grateful for my amazing team at Phx. As a leader, I continuously seek feedback on my actions and their impact on those around me. Despite my efforts, I often reflect on the opportunities that aren’t brought to the forefront—the unknown unknowns. This past week, that perspective shifted when I received a thoughtful birthday card from my teammates. Intentional actions like this, consistently demonstrated by our team, reflect the supportive and caring culture we've cultivated together. This time however, I felt the impact personally and intensely due to the collective effort behind the surprise (as well as countless personal notes from team members). I was left speechless. Not only was the it unexpected, but the intentionality behind this gesture also helped by clarifying the impact of my leadership, while lending insight to the ever-present question of the unknown unknowns that could potentially threaten our largest strength—culture. This solidified that the culture is not just singular and driven by leadership but deeply ingrained. Mission accomplished? No, but it is great to lead a team of leaders who are stewards of a culture of intentionality and mindfulness. I am truly humbled to be part of such a wonderful group that went above and beyond to make a milestone birthday so impactful. I share this experience because it is a powerful reminder of the importance of leadership and the meaningful impact we can have on others. By fostering an environment of gratitude and mutual respect, we create a space where everyone feels valued and motivated to excel.
