Loving DEI Strategist supporting you bold inclusive leadership Talks about #leadership #dei #culture #courage #méxico

Speak boldly and courageously with love. My firm Promoting Good loves to see courage in action and we work hard to model that courage with love. What does that look like for me? Brené Brown shared a statement and I shared some feedback earlier today on her website which I share below 👇🏽 "I see the care with which this article was written and want to point out where it fails to speak to the humanity of, and perpetuates reductionist perceptions of Palestinian people. Others have shared important feedback which I hope you will courageously engage with and embrace. I highlight that there is a harmful difference in the humanity shown to Palestinians through your word choice. You write that "language is a tool of dehumanization" and your choice to refer to October 7th with a visceral adjective as "sadistic violence" and "brutality" while choosing to describe "the killing of thousands of innocent Palestinian people" and "death and desperation" more neutrally and without the same depth of adjective shows a difference in the depth of humanity and care for Palestinian people. Your have such a powerful platform and these choices are visible to so many who will be left with perceptions that continue to see the humanity of Palestinians differently to that of Israeli and Jewish people. I agree that both deserve to live safely and with their humanity embraced fully. (Your article) falls short of communicating that." Note: there is a minor change in () so that my comment is understandable outside of the comment chain. This note is about me practicing transparency, which we also model.
