NGC 2359 - Thor's Helmet Nebula, masterfully processed by Brian Diaz, is a stunning emission nebula located in the constellation Canis Major, approximately 15,000 light-years away from Earth. This celestial beauty earned its moniker due to its intricate bubble-like structure resembling a Viking helmet. The nebula is illuminated by a central Wolf-Rayet star, an extremely hot and massive star in the later stages of its evolution. This image is the result of processing data from our Starbase image set repository, comprising 22 image sets and totaling 220 hours of data. These sets feature nebulae and have been instrumental in producing several award-winning astrophotos. You can now download these image sets, captured using our affiliate 12.5" f/9 Quasar Ritchey-Chrétien remote telescope (ATEO-3) situated at Deep Sky Chile, at a 50% discount. Saturn🪐, while still quite distant from Earth in astronomical terms, is one of the more recognizable and easily visible planets from our vantage point. Its iconic rings make it a captivating subject for amateur astronomers and astrophotographers alike. With the right equipment, such as a decent telescope and a camera with manual settings, capturing Saturn can yield impressive results. Its distinct ring system can often be observed, adding to its visual appeal. Keep in mind that even though Saturn is relatively close compared to other celestial objects, it is still many millions of kilometers away, so achieving clear and detailed photographs requires proper equipment and atmospheric conditions. #Saturn #AstroPhotography

SNR G126.2+1.6, skillfully processed by Jon Gascoyne is a faint, shell-type supernova remnant (SNR) in the Milky Way Galaxy, discovered in 2010 using radio observations. Located in the constellation Cassiopeia, it spans about 90 arcminutes in diameter. This remnant, likely the aftermath of a supernova explosion thousands of years ago, is characterized by its weak radio emissions and filamentary structure. CTP MEANS UNIVERSAL SPACE TRAVEL IN OUR LIFETIME In the event you are new to list and still haven't really 'gotten' 'what' what I refer to as 'CTP' is about? Our future #CTPcraft #spacecraft our #deeptechstartup CTP Energy, LLC will R&D and produce (eventually) will be able to travel even to distant galaxies like the 'Sunflower Galaxy' here. CEFM/FTL SPACE TRAVEL VIA CTP DEFIES PHYSICS AND PHYSICAL LAWS Even at physical universal spatial distances of 27 million light-years (or greater), our advanced #CTPcraft will be able to traverse vast universal distances in a matter of seconds; NOT years or months or multigenerational spaceships or cryosleep required: near instantaneous travel - to anywhere in our physical universe. #newscience #futurevision #futurespace #advancedspacetravel #dreamofdrazen #venturebuild #venturebuilders #corporatefunding #nextbigthing #heiroftesla
Messier 63 - the Sunflower Galaxy, captured and nicely processed by Brian Puhl is a spiral galaxy located approximately 27 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici. How many stars can you count? ⭐ It is easy to assume that the deep void of outer space is completely dark, given the massive distances between celestial objects, but with the proper technique the truer count of all these objects becomes visible. Gemini North, one half of the Gemini International Observatory, operated by NOIRLab, beholds this ethereal view of the brimming sky. With our naked eyes, we can see about 6000 stars, out of around 200 billion in the Milky Way 🤯. And this doesn’t even include the plethora of other astronomical objects! At the bottom of this #imageoftheweek, the dense cloud deck below Gemini North’s position suppresses light pollution from neighboring cities. This blanket facilitates a substantially darker and clearer night, and light from fainter stars can more easily be captured. Appearing like a reflection of the clouds, the Milky Way itself is visible on the Hawaiian horizon. Also at the horizon, a bright band glows from the right half of the image — this is sunlight reflecting off of interplanetary dust, creating zodiacal light. On the opposite side of the horizon shines a splash of backscattered sunlight called the gegenschein.
