Excited to share that I will be sitting as a panelist for National Endeavors, LLC's upcoming ACO Essentials conference next month! When Greg Shockey first reached out to me to join their conference as a Social Determinants of Health expert, I knew from previous conferences and interactions that this would be well worth the time. If you're in the value-based care space or serve it, I encourage you to attend! If you will be in the Scottsdale area around February 21st and are interested in catching up, please let me know! #socialdeterminantsofhealth #sdoh #populationhealth #populationhealthmanagement #aco #vbc #valuebasedhealthcare

April was another busy month for the National Voices team!🎉 Our key wins include media coverage on our concerns regarding the cuts to postal delivery services, the launch of our report, ‘English literacy as a barrier to participation in clinical trials’, and sharing our Policy Priorities for the upcoming year🔑 In early April, we were featured in a flurry of press, alongside Healthwatch England, The Patients Association, and NHS Providers. Together, we raised concerns about proposed cuts to postal delivery services, making the case that NHS mail must remain a priority. This vital issue was featured in The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, and The Times📰 👉https://bit.ly/44v06FO 👉https://bit.ly/3QyfJX8 👉https://bit.ly/44yibm9 👉https://bit.ly/4aXt6IF Recognising that many groups are underrepresented in clinical trials, and the subsequent gap in data which inevitably widens health inequalities, we shared our new report, English literacy as a barrier to participation in clinical trials. The MAPLE project, led by Bristol Biomedical Research Centre and funded through the Integrated Care System REN development programme, aims to create accessible information for people who may be interested in taking part in research but find traditional patient information leaflets too complex to engage with. 👉https://bit.ly/3wrxD7c We also shared our Policy and Communications Priorities for 2024/2025. We took our time in developing these through discussions held with members, through developing cross-cutting themes from our annual membership survey, and through co-production with National Voices’ Lived Experience Partners. We are confident that they not only meet the needs of our members and reflect their most important priorities but that they also recognise both current and future system priorities and our ability to make a real impact in these areas by securing funded projects. Our priorities are directly aligned with our members, and will continue to be underpinned by health inequalities, lived experience and co-production. 👉https://bit.ly/4a9q42H

Sounds like this will be a deeper dive into one aspect of PFTs: lung volumes by way of nitrogen washout and the like. You don’t hear much about lung clearance index (LCI) anymore so that should be interesting 🤓.
Join us on 9/10/24 at 1:00 pm CT for "Multiple Breath Washout in Modern CF Care"! The goal of this presentation is to provide the audience with an overview of MBW in context of current methodology, standards and role in CF clinical research. Discuss outcome measures derived from the MBW test, and their potential utility. Explore how and why MBW has (re)gained popularity in modern CF care. Discuss the considerations and challenges of transitioning MBW/LCI from a research tool into routine clinical care. This webinar is FREE for AARC Members! Register now: https://lnkd.in/gyMNkmdW
