I invite you to read this insightful piece by my colleague Linda Genen, MD, MPH
The average recommended number of in-office visits for pregnant individuals is between 12 and 14. But with accessibility issues like maternity care deserts, that number is beyond reach for many. Writing in Physicians Practice, ProgenyHealth Chief Medical Officer, Linda Genen, MD, MPH, suggests that virtual medicine may be part of the solution to providing high quality, consistent care. https://hubs.ly/Q02kxdlP0

Leaning that never ends ! Just about today, I embarked on this one. I was motivated to learn through the significance of orodontal care in maternal & newborns in order to help seal the knowledge gap by providing orodontal data tailored to all expecting mothers. While I learn through this course, it was thrilling to discover existing myths around such services by expecting mothers and relative realities to aid scale off such myths. Being a primary Healthcare provider, seeing different care seeking categories, Antenatal clinics are not an exclude. I’ll endeavor to integrate orodontal services to maternal and newborns care package to improve their oral health and overall wellbeing at all times. #who #orodontalCare #Maternalandnewborns #PrimaryHealthCare
